Most 1966 Ford Mustangs you see are classics for nice people, but this one is for the bad boy. Sinister triple black, GT upgrades, and a big 302 V8 under the hood make this one memorable. But underneath this aggressive image you'll see a solid restored ragtop that's ready to go anywhere.
Raven Black was one a popular color in 1966, and it's easy to see why. It's a bold, sophisticated, and classic, which is the perfect choice for a Mustang convertible. This one also benefits from clean, straight sheetmetal. The finish is shiny, and the entire package fits together well, so the doors open and close easily and the hood lines up as it should. It looks like great care has been taken with the chrome. Both front and rear bumpers have been buffed to a mirror shine that shows a fantastic against the black paint. But what's really drawing your attention to this black beauty is the hint of color towards the bottom. It has the triple racing stripe on the just like a GT350 (it even has the Shelby Mustang's hood scoop, too!) As a very cool touch, the Goodyear double redline tires seem like the perfect matching endcaps to the side red accent package.

Triple black means black exterior, black roof, and black interior. Not every Mustang can pull it off like this one. Everyone loves a Pony package that adds the upgraded luxury interior with the prancing horses embedded into the seats. These look factory fresh, and their chrome trim looks fantastic with the center console in the middle. The five-dial gauge panel became standard in 1966, which offers a sportier look and holds a complete set of gauges. A newer AM/FM stereo head unit fits neatly in the original radio's location and it provides a nice complement to the chrome trim around the gauges and the three-spoke steering wheel. One of the likely reasons this interior is so well presented is because it shows no signs of sun damage. That's because the electric folding roof easily goes up with just the touch of a button.
The largest part that makes this Mustang such an aggressive package is under the hood. You know a 302 cubic-inch V8 was not available from the factory until a few years later, but it was just too good to resist installing in this drop top. Beyond just the great-looking chrome accessories and big blue block, this engine has some real substance, including an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. You know this kind of packaging makes a great rumble from the dual exhaust. As intimidating as this Mustang might look and sound, it doesn't always need to be a wild stallion. It can easily be tamed for Sunday drives thanks to power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and front disc brakes.
This is the Mustang that puts some nice muscle behind its classic American icon image. Call today!!!
