351 CLEVELAND V8, AUTO, PWR STEERING, FRONT DISCS, VERY NICE BODY/PAINT/INTERIOR

There's noting better than having a cool classic in contemporary colors. This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 will never be called timid with its 351 V8 and will never be called "out of style".

This slick Mustang cuts a high profile wake through ordinary traffic, and if you like the later fastbacks, you have to admit that they don't get much more attractive than this shade of blue. The NACA ram air hood, the chin spoiler, and the rear wing all contribute to its high-performance credentials. Plus, there's no better way to have a Mach 1 than with the hood treatment, and side hockey stick stripes in Argent Silver. The whole package looks great on a body as straight and clean as this one. Given the choice, we think this was the right decision to keep the front bumper body colored, but leave the rear in chrome where it matches the gas cap and exhaust tips. Of course this is not the only obvious shine on the pony car, because everyone takes notice when a Mustang is on a nice set of classic Magnum 500 wheels.

The black interior is fairly stock, and so it retains the Mustang's luxury image Ford was aiming for with the upper market pony cars during this era. This includes the high-back bucket ... Please ask for the full description.

This includes the high-back bucket seats, and the wood veneering on the door panels and dashboard. All the features look like they have stayed original over the years. This includes the functional elements like the speedometer and tachometer, set deep in the barrel-style console, as well as the comfort elements like the heat/defrost controls and the AM/FM radio.

But what you really want to know about when you see a Mach 1 is what's under the hood, and this one doesn't disappoint with its thumpin' 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8. Plus, it has been treated to a nice round of performance upgrades, including Ford Racing valve covers, as well as an Edelbrock intake, carburetor, and air cleaner. It fires up nicely, and there's a sweet rumble from the dual exhaust with performance H-pipe construction. But as much as this car has plenty of get-up-and-go, Ford also wanted to make sure you could cruise comfortably for miles in these big 'Stangs. That's why this one has an automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and modern BF Goodrich T/A tires at all four corners.

This is that perfect Mustang that you'll be proud to drive any time of day, because it looks as good in the sunlight as it does bathed in moonlight. It's beauty and brawn rolled into one affordable package. Call today!!
