There's just something already intimidating about a long and sleek classic Caddy. But this 1964 Cadillac DeVille will have some running for the hills (and other running towards you to see more!) Beneath it's midnight black appearance, and glowing green headlights, is a vintage sedan with thousands invested to be one of the most interesting and comfortable cars out there.

Just imagine you pulling up to your favorite restaurant, and all that people see is the stand out chrome grille, sparkling against the glow of the green headlights (now that is some style!) The look has a nice fearsome side as well. When you don't want to be quite as flashy, the green neon accents simple turn off with the flick of a switch, and you just have a great-looking custom Caddy. It starts with the recent application of the glossy black paint. It brings out every crease and design line of this iconic tailfin era sedan. If the body were not this straight, the appearance would never be this striking. The other key to a great classic Caddy is chrome. This DeVille is complete, not only in the aforementioned grille, but also in everything from the wide rear end, to the thin detail pieces that run along front fenders and across the hardtop. Oh yeah, and no one will miss that added brightwork of those 20-inch BIGG wheels.

While the exterior carries a handsome dark side, the interior seems to be invitingly comfortable. It starts with the leather black and white diamond tuck pattern on the front and rear bench seats, with matching patterns on the door panels. The seatbacks don't rise above the doorline. This is particularly nice, because when you use the power windows to take down the tinted glass, people can see all the way through the side view on this pillarless hardtop – that's always the coolest kind of profile. You could try to be inconspicuous to people in this blacked out DeVille if you wanted, but most likely they will have already heard you coming. That's because this one comes with a full custom stereo with Kicker speakers, big powered subwoofers in the trunk, and a Kenwood AM/FM/XM/CD iPod unit with a touchscreen interface. Not to mention, a nice rumble from the exhaust!

Moving a big car with ease means having big power under the hood. Cadillac introduced a new 429 cubic-inch V8 in '64, which has plenty of power and torque to keep this classic an effortless cruiser. You can see from the photos this motor has been well maintained, showing a sharp engine bay. Cadillac's big block is mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. This then sends power to the limited slip rear end with the right ratio to make sure this Caddy is both good off the line, and can cruise comfortably on the highways. Speaking of comfort, this is also a power steering car with disc brakes up front, as well as new shocks and springs all around. So yes, despite a classic and somewhat menacing outward appearance (and a nice bark from the dual exhaust), this never loses the luxury Cadillac feel on the road.
