Every inch is customized... That's the best way to describe this 1939 Chevrolet pickup. Custom paint, slick front end, modern bed, cool interior, and a rumbling V8 under the hood – this is the truck that has everything but a big price tag.
We don't have to tell you this is one slick-looking custom truck. It seems to have blended all the best elements of the pre-war era, hot rod touches, and even some modern components. The front end is a complete custom work with wide fenders that seem to be inspired by earlier classics – a really cool and unique touch. There's custom concealed headlights, a chrome grille that stretches deeper into the hood, and a custom front bumper. A late model GM stepside bed has been added on to the frame almost seamlessly because all of this was painted at the same time. Oh yes, don't think we forgot about the paint. The custom blending of silver and metallic blue come together on a dividing line made of electric orange pinstriping. This is one pickup that can't help but command attention.
But as people get closer, they'll even notice the great details like the shaved door handles, and the huge rear tires that are somewhat deceptively concealed within the American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
Pop the remote door openers, and you'll see an interior that's like no truck you've ever laid eyes on before. Sure, the gray cloth bench and coordinating door panels, carpets, and headliner look good, but even the covered truck bed has gray cloth, too. Slip behind the three-spoke steering wheel, and you're looking at the machine-turned panel and full gauge package from a 2nd generation Pontiac Trans Am. To the right of that are cool aircraft-style toggle switches and auxiliary gauges. Just below that is a B&M performance shifter. So you've got plenty of hints this is going to be a wild ride even before you hear the rumble of the exhaust.
Tilt the custom clamshell hood forward to see the mighty small block Chevy V8 in all its glory. This 350 cubic-inch powerhouse proudly proclaims its heritage on the valve covers, and subtly does it again on the Corvette-style ram's horn exhaust. But beyond just looking cool, this V8 has the added power of items like an MSD distributor, four-barrel carburetor, and hi-rise intake. There's plenty of power on tap, and a wicked sound out of the glasspack style dual exhaust. It also has an aluminum radiator with an electric fan to keep everything cool. With a package like this, it should be no surprise that the rear end is geared nice and low (likely in the 4s) to give this custom pickup nice power take-offs. There's even a transmission cooler for the stout TH350 three-speed automatic, so you know you can take full advantage of the aforementioned performance shifter. Plus, there's desirable features like the power steering, independent front suspension, and front disc brakes. The final touch is the rear package of huge Mickey Thompson tires and traction bars on the leaf springs. So this fun custom truck was obviously built to show people its taillights.
This is an amazing union of a custom interior/exterior with a substantial street rod drivetrain. It is a truly unique build that is surprisingly affordable. Call today!!
