This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe strikes that perfect balance between a modern a cool restomod and classic American icon. Best of all, this restored and performance upgraded pony car is available at an unbeatable price.
Someone pulled out all the stops to put this car together, and it's you who can benefit. Cost doesn't appear to have been a consideration when it came to painting this one, because the quality of the recent respray is show-worthy. It's part of a full restoration that took place in 2013 that even got the details right like the new weatherstripping, window felts, and taillight bezels. The Mineral Gray paint has an amazing luster that even rivals the new chrome bumpers for shine. A particularly nice touch is the lighter gray custom stripe running the entire top of the car (even the roof!) that gives this modern color even more flair. These ideas of both modern and classic seem to perfectly come together on the wheels that take the iconic torque thrust design and have them painted in a trendy shade of black chrome.
The custom atmosphere continues inside. A pristine black interior is always desirable in a classic, and this one really goes the extra mile. The restoration ... Please ask for the full description.

The restoration refreshed all the major features. This includes new bucket seats, carpeting, headliner rear package tray, dash pad and door panels. But as much as this looks like a pristine classic from 1965, there are a few modern upgrades such as the LED lighting under the dash, AM/FM/cassette stereo, full auxiliary gauges, and carbon fiber accents on the A-pillars & steering column (very cool and subtle touch).
While you'll enjoy showing off the interior and exterior, the engine bay is arguably the most impressive feature. Special attention was paid to make sure the exterior gray continued under the hood – even the air cleaner has the same custom striping! But beyond just appearance, this 289 cubic-inch V8 had been upgraded for reliable performance. It inhales through a Holley four-barrel carburetor and exhales with authority thanks to a dual exhaust with performance H-pipe construction. There's a new aluminum radiator, ignition system, heater core and hoses. It handles particularly nicely on the road thanks to new bushings as well as upper and lower A arms. It's an all-day cruiser with a three-speed automatic transmission and comfortable/modern Hankook Ventus V2 tires.
This is a great and affordable way to enjoy a first generation Mustang. And with so many custom touches, people will swear you paid double the price that can take it home today.
