The main body is all General Motors steel, a rarity these days. The running boards have been modified to get that terrific swoopy styling, but in total, the GM metal has a solid feeling you understand the moment the doors latch. This custom coupe even gets the details right with the hand-painted pinstripe that subtly announces its model year behind the door; blue dot taillights with the Chevrolet name in them, too; and Chevy bow tie spinners on the torque thrust-style wheels.

While this car looks mean on the outside, it's exceptionally accommodating on the inside. It starts with a pair of tan leather sports seats that are vastly more comfortable than anything that came out of the '30s. This material matches the door panels, carpeting, rear parcel shelf, headliner, and even the trunk – a hallmark of an expensive, uniform build. There's plenty of other modern comforts that range from the AM/FM/CD stereo to the ice-cold air conditioning. But a car like this was made for driving. Just about every component that can be polished is, including the air cleaner compressor, alternator, pulleys, and Chevrolet valve covers. But beyond this show-worthy shine is the substance of a 350 cubic-inch crate motor that's been enhanced with features like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition and rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust. Beyond just power, this is a comfortable cruiser with a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, TH350 three-speed automatic, front disc brakes, and the modern grip of BF Goodrich T/A rubber.
