ALL STEEL BODY, 350CI CRATE MOTOR, MUSTANG II, SOUTHERN AIR HEAT & A/C, NICE ROD

Elegantly aggressive – that's exactly how you should view this 1935 Chevrolet coupe that has been expertly built for both show and go. With stunning black paintwork, A/C leather interior, and a performance-built small block, it's everything you want in one hot rod.

The main body is all General Motors steel, a rarity these days. The running boards have been modified to get that terrific swoopy styling, but in total, the GM metal has a solid feeling you understand the moment the doors latch. The Chevy's styling feels sleeker and more contemporary than the Fords you see running around. This coupe has been heavily invested in to make it a great custom rod, and you know it the moment the sunshine hits the paint. It's so deep, dark, and shiny, you'll swear they make black mirrors. ALL STEEL BODY, 350CI CRATE MOTOR, MUSTANG II, SOUTHERN AIR HEAT & A/C, NICE ROD

No imperfections can hide from paintwork like this, and so it helps accent the excellent bodywork. In fact, with paint this nice, the brightwork had to up its game to amazing on places like the bold hood ornaments, bumpers, headlight surrounds, and fine mesh grill. This custom coupe even gets the details right with the hand-painted pinstripe that subtly announces its model year behind the door; blue dot taillights with the Chevrolet name in them, too; and Chevy bow tie spinners on the torque thrust-style wheels.

While this car looks mean on the outside, it's exceptionally accommodating on the inside. It starts with a pair of tan leather sports seats that are vastly more comfortable than anything that came out of the '30s. This material matches the door panels, carpeting, rear parcel shelf, headliner, and even the trunk – a hallmark of an expensive, uniform build. There's plenty of other modern comforts that range from the AM/FM/CD stereo to the ice-cold air conditioning. But a car like this was made for driving. That's why you get great features like the Lecarra custom chrome steering wheel and a full set of vintage-style VDO gauges.

You know this is the kind of custom build that was meant to show off, so the engine bay lives up to that promise. Just about every component that can be polished is, including the air cleaner compressor, alternator, pulleys, and Chevrolet valve covers. But beyond this show-worthy shine is the substance of a 350 cubic-inch crate motor that's been enhanced with features like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition and rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust. Beyond just power, this is a comfortable cruiser with a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, TH350 three-speed automatic, front disc brakes, and the modern grip of BF Goodrich T/A rubber.

A very cool, well-built rod that's definitely going to get lots of attention everywhere it goes. If you love driving and arriving with style, this one gets everything right. Call today!!!
