This 1964½ Ford Mustang convertible comes with its correct and rare D-code 289 V8 motor, rare factory-correct paint, and a rarely seen level of restoration. The color is called Prairie Bronze and it is this car's original color. Less than eight percent of the first batch of Mustangs (1964 ½ ) received this precious metal hue, and it makes for wonderful contrast to the more familiar red and black cars that are on most show fields. With standout paintwork like this only the straightest body panels will do. Mustangs were iconic from day one, and that's thanks to good brightwork on the bumpers, badging, horse corral grille, and stylized steel wheels, and you can easily tell there was plenty invested in making sure these standouts have an exceptional presentation. Add in the white convertible top that coordinates with the whitewall tires, and this Mustang truly has an upscale appearance.

The factory-correct Palomino interior continues this premium feeling. It's a complementary hue to the exterior bronze, so it looks fantastic with the top down. Anything that wasn't up to standard inside was replaced with the correct materials during restoration. The results are the bucket seats, door panels, and dashboard are all nicely color coordinated and have an exceptionally crisp presentation. You're likely to notice some pretty great features and upgrades like the factory power convertible top and the modern AM/FM stereo that blends into the factory location but offers an aux input.
