A fantastic restomod is more than just a modern interior wrapped around great paint. This 1971 Chevrolet Nova has huge performance big block V8 power, upgraded drivertrain, and complete rebuild gives this coupe everything you want in a modern car while still looking like a cherished classic.
Arctic White is the perfect color for this car. Thanks to the iPhone, white is a clean and modern hue, and at the same time it will never lose its classic appeal... and that's exactly the same idea for this restomod. It starts with a body that has a panel fit and gap tolerances far superior than what came from the factory 45 years ago. There was a lot invested in getting every panel mounted correctly so that light reflects evenly off the professionally applied white. A cowl induction hood was added to give it some attitude, and all-new chrome gives it a shiny, showroom-fresh look that's even better in person than it is in photos. But all of this just looks like a top-quality restoration car. What lets people know there's even more going on with this one are the modern American Racing wheels.
The larger rear size (18-inch front, 20-inch back) fits nicely inside the rear fenders thanks to a Detroit Speed mini-tub kit.
One look inside, and you understand just how much was invested in making this the ultimate restomod. The full custom black leather interior not only gives the front occupants extremely supportive buckets, but the rear is also built for individual comfort, too. In fact, the only item that looks factory-original in this custom center console interior is the three-spoke power steering wheel. When you're sitting behind it, you have a clear view of the full AutoMeter Cobalt gauge setup. Plus everyone gets to enjoy features like the ice cold air conditioner that runs modern R-134a. The AM/FM/XM Clarion head unit controls the full subwoofer stereo system, and it also features satellite navigation and a backup camera.
The best way to understand how this coupe mixes classic muscle car and modern features comes from the experience out on the road. Under the hood is a monster 454 cubic-inch V8 that was re-built around 1,500 miles ago and bored out to 480 ci. But the upgrades did not stop there. It has performance goodies include Holley Dominator 1050 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Griffin aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, and Chevrolet Performance 572 heads (the full list is too much to post here, but give us a call, and we're happy to go over all the details.) This motor intimidates everyone as it exhales with authority out of Hooker Competition headers on its way through the stainless steel dual exhaust. That is serious old-school muscle car power, but it's mated to modern components. There's a six-speed Richmond transmission that sends power to the Moser Engineering nine-inch rear end running a versatile 3.50 ratio. There's also a full Wilwood Hydroboost four-wheel disc brake package that's backed up by Nitto NT555 Extreme ZX tires at each corner. This gives you the perfect setup to choose between easy overdrive cruising and tire-smoking performance.
This Nova is a vintage coupe, high horsepower sports car, and a show-stopping attention getter all in a single package. It's one of those rare cars that offers the best of everything, and it's available right now. Call today!!!
