It's time to look like a million bucks for a fraction of the cost. This 1927 Bugatti replica has the appearance of a classic racecar, but offers the reliability and affordability of a Volkswagen Beetle.
Sure, this one looks like the celebrated Bugatti Type 35 of the 1920s. After all, the details are pretty good on this one. It has the traditional Bugatti horseshoe-shaped grille, long louvered hood, and boattail-style rear. This is a replica of a true pure race legend, so note the cycle-style fenders, low-slung chassis, leather hood straps, and exposed hand brake. It's pretty easy to imagine sitting behind those dual windscreens and slinging this sportster through the turns of your favorite country road. Or better yet, show up to any car show and shock a few people at first glance. On the practical side, it's a well-finished fiberglass body with the correct lights for everyday driving. So you're looking at an affordable and fun machine whose range is only limited by your desire.
The racecar feeling is continued on the inside with a very open cockpit that includes a vinyl bench seat. The full wooden dash panel even gives your passenger something to hold on to. The wood-rimmed ... Please ask for the full description.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel feels beefy in your hands, and those who know the Wolfsburg crest will recognize that as the only subtle hint to this car's VW origins. You get a very nice full gauge package from Classic Instruments and a cool EMPI Trigger Shifter. There's no top, no side curtains, no radio, no heater, and so there's nothing to get in the way of pure motoring fun. And while the Bugatti sported a straight-8 under that long hood, this tribute car has a nice carpeted trunk for decent storage.
The 1800 cc VW flat-four lives under the pointed rear deck and it even has been dressed nicely with plenty of brightwork. So you will be happy to show off this motor after you tell everyone it's a tribute car. It fires up as reliably as you know VWs should, and of course, it makes that unmistakable air-cooled soundtrack. The trusty motor moves the lightweight roadster with ease. But the best reason for having this based on a Beetle is that maintenance is a breeze. You have an extensive and affordable catalog of repair and performance parts available. The VW's fully independent suspension works especially well with the low-slung roadster bodywork, and while the wheels look a bit like ones from the original Bugatti Type 35, they are able to hold wider, more modern tires.
This one would already be a lot of fun for the money even if it wasn't out to look like a Bugatti. For those who enjoy motoring at its purest, we've got your new favorite toy. Call today!!!
