We've gone so long without a new El Camino in our lives that even the final generation has reached classic status. That's exactly the reminder you'll give everyone when you pull up in this 1986 Chevrolet El Camino. And just like any good vintage American car, this one has been treated to host of upgrades that makes it quicker, more luxurious, and unique. The main upgrade on this one is a modern 4.3L Vortech V6 to give you more horsepower, better fuel economy, and all-around performance than it's original powertrain could have dreamed of.
Two-tone colors were available on the El Camino, but the burgundy color has a nice metallic element radiates its custom status the moment the sunlight hits the body. The stainless that highlights the fender wells and roofline provide a nice break point for the two colors, and it connects the chrome bumpers for a very nice uniform appearance. This one has gone for plenty more custom touches. It starts up front with the Nash hood ornament.
On the sides, the factory five-spoke wheels are painted burgundy for that same custom appearance that was made popular by Oldsmobile's muscle cars. The rear has a hard tonneau cover that enhances practical elements like security, utility, fuel economy, but really you just love it because its matching silver color looks so cool.
The interior continues this custom feeling with a gray bench with burgundy piping. You can choose to seat three across or fold down the armrest for individual comfort for two. The driver gets a Grant GT three-spoke steering wheel covered in glossy wood. Ahead of that is a full set of custom digital gauges. There are plenty of great comfort and convenience features inside, including cruise control, upgraded Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo, and air conditioning converted to R-134a for easy servicing. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how much room there is inside and how bright and airy it feels, despite the single row interior. This is a car that you could easily drive cross-country.
But what really makes this a great driver's El Camino is under the hood. This one stays faithful to Chevy, but now with a more powerful fuel-injected 4.3L Vortec V6. The more modern motor means you've got better power off the line to really keep up with traffic, and there's also more grunt to take advantage of the tow hitch on this gentleman's pickup. It has great driving features such as front disc brakes, power steering, and an automatic transmission. Plus, unlike other pickups you got in the '80s, this one has a trailering arm rear suspension for added comfort.
With an attractive price and plenty of custom touches, this El Camino is a great way to be distinctive without breaking the bank. It's a comfortable turnkey classic that's ready to be you new daily driver. Call today!!!
