STEEL BODY, CHEVY 350 V8, R134 AC, SUPER NICE INTERIOR, MODERN SUBFRAME, NICE!

The 1937 Ford five-window business coupes are always popular, but this all-steel body has all the right features to be a cut-above hot rod classic. With a small block Chevy V8, a nicely finished interior, and plenty of charisma, this might be your first, last, and only opportunity to pick up the genuine pre-war custom Ford you've always wanted.

If you were thinking about running moonshine in this one, think again. The extended trunks of these cars were a favorite of liquor-running outlaws, but in this case, the once inconspicuous styling is now long gone. The professionally applied Aqua paintwork shines brightly on the steel body. We'd even venture to guess this paint is so radiant it may glow in the dark! But the real distinctive attractiveness comes from the custom details. Without bumpers, we can really see the intricate design that the full grill creates, and in back, the fenders artistically meet in the custom rear pan. As people come closer to this classic they can start to spot the iconic hot rod touches like the pinstriping, shaved door handles, and the bright American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.

Pop the electronic remote door opener on the keychain, and you'll see an interior that feels like no expense was spared to give this businessman's coupe plenty of real modern conveniences. A nice two-tone tan color matches everything on the door panels, carpets, headliner and seats. The single bench seat up front was upgraded to two modern buckets, but if you need a kind of drive-in closeness to your passenger, then you could utilize rear bench (a rarity in business coupes.) The driver gets a highly stylized chrome steering wheel with wood surround and a Lokar floor shifter. The original gauge package has been swapped for VDO readouts that have a classic style but provide plenty more info. A street rod like this is truly meant for cruising that's why you get comfortable features such as power windows, power locks, and modern R-134a air conditioning with vents nicely integrated into the aqua dash that nicely matches the exterior color.

The interior is not the only place where this bright blue was applied. The engine bay was fully painted to match the exterior. Add this to the chrome valve covers and air cleaner as well as tidy/hidden wires and hoses, and you're always ready to lift the hood and show this one off. Beyond just style, this motor was made for substance. The original flathead Ford V8 has been swapped for a more powerful Chevy 350 cubic-inch unit. It includes upgrades such as a four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performance intake, and a dual exhaust that makes all the right go-fast noises. The full package is rated at 350 horsepower, and making sure all that gets reliably utilized is a stout GM automatic transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. This one also has far better handling than any car from the 1930s thanks to the upgrades like the independent front suspension, front disc brakes, and wider performance tires with a staggered size for an aggressive profile.

This is a coupe that could have been a moonshiner back in the day, but survived to be a creature-comfort hot rod. We know these unique cars don't stay long under our showroom lights. So if you're quick enough, your own legend begins here. Call today!!!
