While the red painted over some of the chrome areas like the grille and bumpers for a much more modern appearance, there is still room for brightwork. It just now highlights some of the more interesting pieces of the El Camino like the 17-inch US Mag alloys.

GM offered nothing larger than a 305 cubic-inch V8 for these final generation El Caminos, but that wasn't good enough for this upgraded creation. That's why a later 350ci motor was installed. It looks great in the engine bay with the etched air topper, as well as valve covers and block that are painted in the iconic Chevy orange. When you do get out on the road, the extra displacement really offers a nice upgrade in power. Plus, the dual exhaust has a great enhanced sound. This is a machine truly built for the long haul with great features like cruise control and the four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Also, unlike other pickups you got in the '80s, this one has a trailing arm rear suspension for added comfort. This is added to features like front disc brakes, power steering, and the grip of modern performance tires to keep everything quite comfortable over any journey.
