Nash really went all-out for their first clean sheet design after WWII. Extra long streamlined sheetmetal and all four wheels covered by the bodywork not only made these cars aerodynamic, but also they seemed to be the first to welcome the jet age. More than just the factory styling, this custom build as a lot of great details. The dual spotlight, side exhaust cutouts (cosmetic), windshield shade, American Racing Torq Thurst wheels, lowered stance, and frenched in taillights all contribute to a mean custom attitude. Then wrap it in a high gloss black that has so much shine that it rivals all the brightwork. Yes, this is one instantly makes an impression wherever it goes.

When you open the door, you might think that the tan interior looks quite a bit more modern, and that's for a good reason...it is! The seats are out of a much younger Lincoln but have the right dimensions to have a factory fit. The moment you sit down in the plush front bucket seat with armrest, you'll instantly know this is far more comfortable than anything that came out of the 1950s. Everyone else will also marvel at the level of space and comfort this sedan provides, especially since it has been upgraded with modern R134a air conditioning. You'll slip behind the original two-spoke steering wheel, but as you gaze across the auxiliary gauges and grab the Lokar shifter, you'll get the sneaking suspicion that there's something special under the hood.

The first thing you notice about the engine bay is that the big chrome air grabber and matching valve covers. And this kind of presentation means you'll happily lift the hood at car shows. But it's the substance beyond the shine that will have you grinning ear-to-ear when you're driving to the events. It's a 305 cubic-inch Chevy small block V8, and since these are so robust and adaptable, it has already been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Weiand performance intake. This helps give the dual exhaust the kind of wicked rumble you'd expect from a low-slung dark machine like this. Since this is a Chevy motor, it's mated to a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. So you're looking at a smooth-riding vintage sedan with drivetrain components that are easy to source.
