FRESH COMPLETE RESTORATION, REBUILT 2.5 I6, FRNT DISC, BEAUTIFUL PAINT, RECEIPTS

The Triumph TR6 is one of the last great British roadsters. It combines the features we enjoy such as a powerful and lively six-cylinder motor as well as a full interior. But it doesn't betray the sprightly nature that makes us fall in love on the backroads. Best of all, all the hard restoration work has already been done on this one, so you're looking at a turnkey smile machine.

The respray in white allows you to standout in a modern and pristine hue. As you really look over the shine, you'll understand the level of work that when into the $5,000 invested in paintwork. The car was taken to bare metal and artfully sprayed with the right coats. It was finished off with such high gloss, that you might have to touch it just confirm the car isn't wet. Having this level of quality really brings out the TR6's design cues. This continuation of the TR series had more muscular fender lines. Even the little details are aggressive such as bright trim ring around the factory wheels that are reminiscent of Chevy's rally package. There was also no mistaking its heritage with a flat Kamm-back treatment that was also seen on the larger Triumphs of the day. There's a minimal amount of brightwork ...

There's a minimal amount of brightwork to keep these cars uncluttered, but this one has been updated to keep shiny parts looking their best. The wraparound bumpers have a mirror-like appearance that can only come from a nice investment in this roadster. You can see it clearly because it utilizes the earlier design that eliminates the less-desirable federal rubber caps.

The interior is another hallmark of the great British roadster, which is why it's nice to see so much invested in the restoration. The real wood dashboard, wheel rim, and shift knob have all been given a fine lacquer finish that gives an instant feeling of craftsmanship. Plus, the full set of Smiths gauges really lets you know you're driving a European sports machine. Everything else has a deep, dark appearance from the bucket seats, to the fresh carpets, to the gearshift boot. There's an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo so you can listen to your favorite tunes on your long and winding road trips. And for those times when you get caught out in wet weather, there's a snug-fitting black vinyl folding roof underneath the matching boot.

The TR6 is particularly coveted for its motor. It has 2.5-liter inline-six backed by dual Stromberg carburetors, so it doesn't suffer from the anemic reputation that other British roadsters have. In fact, this is one of the larger motors out of the iconic era of sprightly roadsters. When you open the hood, you can instantly see there was plenty invested on rebuilding the motor. Besides just looking tidy, the new components and rebuilt carbs mean the engine fires up easily. In a car that weighs barely 2,500 lbs, it has quick acceleration and the power to keep pulling well into highway speeds. Adding to this versatility is the control you get from the four-speed manual transmission, and the crispness that comes from a new clutch and pressure plate. Take the long way home, and you'll instantly fall in love with the way the fully independent sport suspension handles in this lightweight roadster. The new bushings, shocks, and dual exhaust system will send your senses into overload with the amount of driving pleasure in this Triumph. And when it all comes time to stop, a new front disc brake system and the modern grip of Toyo tires give you all the control you want.

You've always wanted a Triumph TR6, but sometimes you're unsure of the condition of a 40+ year-old import. That's what's so appealing about this one. The moment you check out all the details, including the build receipts, maintenance records, and super clean undercarriage shots, you understand the level of investment that went into this roadster. It's amazing that a restored icon like this can be so affordable, and that's also why we know it will be leaving us soon. Call today!!!
