235CI INLINE 6, FENTON SPLIT HEADER, COOL MATTE PAINT JOB, GREAT FOR ADVERTISING

A classic panel van is a great way for everyone from surfers to business owners to get in on the vintage fun. There's just one problem: they're typically slow. But the fella who updated this 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Panel Delivery took care of that for you with an upgraded five-speed manual transmission. You'll also spot some other speedy upgrades, too, but this desirable post-war hauler still hasn't lost his original charm.

This van just gets cooler the longer you look at it. For example, you'd expect the matte black paint to be lackluster, but it has a subtle shine that seems as aggressively elegant as a heavyweight boxer in a finely tailored suit. This one even blacked-out the iconic five-slat chrome grille. Its darter attitude really helps draw attention to the remaining brightwork like the badging, headlight surrounds, door handles, wheel covers, and chrome bumpers. The wheels are playing into this industrial chic ruse, too, with the old-style truck red steelies and whitewalls. The secret here are the 15-inch wheels actually have modern BF Goodrich rubber mounted on them – all part of this van's secretly rewarding persona.

Open the door to all those great classic Chevy truck features you love. The large three-spoke steering wheel, Art Deco dash, original gauges, and an overall durable feeling that has lasted for decades. But this one also has something very special. Behind those black bucket seats is plenty of protected storage for you to carry all the equipment you need for business, pleasure, or both! And did you spot the Hurst shifter?... once again, this van hints at being secretly rewarding.

Under the hood is a 235 cubic-inch inline six. It's the upgraded in displacement for what was available in '51. More importantly, it has earned a reputation for being tough and reliable as an anvil. While this is not an all-out speed machine, it has been given some nice upgrades to give it pep. This includes the cool-looking Offenhauser head cover and classic Fenton exhaust manifolds that create a true dual exhaust. Plus, a glasspack in each pipe adds a nice hint of bass. But what will really make you happy is the five-speed manual transmission. It gives this work machine a much better defined powerband that will hurry up better from stoplights AND make highway speeds manageable.

This is the classic that would look just as good in your garage as it would in front of your business. That's why we know there are plenty of people who want it – especially at this affordable price. So don't miss out, call today!
