FULLY CUSTOM BUILT 48 F1, 350 CHEVY MOTOR, TH350 TRANS, VERY SLICK PAINT, NICE F

Too much, not enough, or just right? This 1948 Ford F1 custom embodies a lot of tricks, but remains totally streetable and even usable as a pickup now and then. On the other hand, with a chopped top, aggressive stance, and thumping V8 under the hood, well, itпїЅs hardly an introvert. Either way, if you want to get noticed, this is the ideal tool for the job.

The first thing you notice about this truck is how well the vivid purple paint works on the FordпїЅs curvy bodywork. It seems to highlight all the best-looking aspects of the truck, while simultaneously fooling the viewer into forgetting this was ever a working-class machine. The aforementioned top chop is the most notable mod, but all the hardware has been shaved, including the bumpers and door handles, and all the vents have been filled giving it a smooth, seamless look. Both doors have been reversed so they open suicide-style with the touch of a button, and subtle pinstripes enhance the existing body lines and will make you look twice. Of course, as a vintage pickup, the bed was finished with fresh lumber and beautifully stained to show off the grain, and the original tailgate still proudly shows off its Ford script face. Description

ThereпїЅs no chrome left, but the body-colored grille looks like a custom piece, even though itпїЅs a factory piece, and the light tint on the glass gives it a modern look.

Yet as wild as the exterior is, the interior is quite subtle and wonderfully subdued, offering plenty of creature comforts in a stylish environment. The gray tweed fabric is a favorite of rodders because it looks great and wears like iron, looking great for years and years without a lot of work. Twin bucket seats replace the original bench, making this a true 2-seater, and whomever was in charge of the upholstery department when this truck was built did one heck of a job. Note the sculpted door panels, the neatly integrated OEM door handles turned on their ends, and the extremely cool wrap-around dashboard that stretches into the upper doors. The gauges are recessed into the smooth instrument panel face, which shows no other interruptions on its surface save for more pinstripes and graphics to match the exterior.

Simple is always better when youпїЅre building a rod you can drive, which explains the 350 cubic inch Chevy under the hood. Despite being a few years old, the engine bay sparkles with bright chrome on the valve covers and air cleaner. It starts quickly and easily, and thanks to a serpentine belt system, oversized radiator, and other traditional power-building parts, it should be plenty entertaining on the street with no worries about reliability. A TH350 3-speed automatic feeds a Ford 9-inch rear, which, along with the rest of the frame, has been painted to match the body. Dual Flowmasters give it that distinctive sound and note how theyпїЅre stacked vertically for extra clearance out back. Weld Pro-Star wheels look racy and enhance the overall smooth look, and wear 195/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear BFGoodrich tires.

This fantastic Ford is one of those customs that will keep your attention for a long time after youпїЅve taken it home. Call today!
