Three or four times a week, we get a request from a young bride or groom to supply an old car for their upcoming wedding. Of course, we can't usually accommodate such requests but the new owner of this 1982 Cadillac Fleetwood limousine would be off to a great start in a new business with this car. Truthfully, there's still nothing that says upscale elegance quite like one of these big Fleetwoods, especially in black.
This car shows just 47,867 original miles, so you know it isn't one of those ragged-out fleet cars. Instead, it seems to have led a pretty easy life and spent many years in a personal collection where it wasn't used for professional duties. And we have to say that it's held up quite well, especially for a black car. It's a six door limousine, but the middle doors are very cleverly disguised and only the passenger door is operational (they didn't want passengers getting out on the street side, so it's a safety thing), so very few people will even notice. The black paint still looks sleek and elegant and the padded roof over that razor-edged roofline makes it look very presidential in profile. The typical issues on these cars are the urethane fillers at the ends of the fenders, ... Please ask for the full description.

The typical issues on these cars are the urethane fillers at the ends of the fenders, and these are starting to show their age, but that's really the only place where this car looks 33 years old. Even the chrome and taillight lenses are in excellent order and the windows have a light tint that's appropriate for a limousine.
The blue interior features durable leather up front for the driver and plush velour in back, as it has always been for limousines since the very earliest days of luxury motoring. All of the upholstery is in excellent condition, befitting a car with so few miles, and the carpets are plush to help control noise inside. Folding jump seats for middle passengers makes this a true 7-passenger vehicle, perfect for wedding parties, and if you don't need them, there's truly massive legroom in back. Things like automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, and a tilt column make it comfortable for driver and passengers alike, and from behind the wheel, you don't feel like you're maneuvering 26 feet of automobile. And, of course, there's a massive trunk for luggage, making this a great car for moving folks around with all their stuff.
Cadillac's HT4100 4.1 liter V8 wasn't a powerhouse, but it's incredibly smooth and unobtrusive, which is really what you want from a limousine. It glides away from rest without vibration and cruises serenely at highway speeds with only a faint whisper of the wind rushing past the windows. It's well maintained under the hood and is completely stock save for an R134a refrigerant upgrade for the A/C. Obviously things like power steering and brakes are standard equipment and a 2004R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission makes it a comfortable highway cruiser. As I said, the suspension and undercarriage look like they've been used but properly maintained and the elegant full wheel covers and 215/75/15 whitewall radials give it the right formal look.
This is probably the most car for the dollar anywhere in the world, costing less than $500 per foot. Long black Cadillacs will always be in style, and this one represents awesome earning potential for the right person. Call today!
