FORD 5.0L MOTOR, MONTE CARLO FRONT CLIP, GM DIAMOND WHITE PAINT, DRIVABLE PICKUP

This 1955 Ford F100 pickup offers a great paint job, classic two-tone interior, and a reliable 5.0 Ford V8 for power. For about the same price as a three-year-old used truck, you can have this awesome cruiser with an oak bed and loads of character.

Ford hit it out of the park with the redesigned F100, giving it a look that has been timeless with collectors and hot-rodders for decades. With a slightly cab-forward look that gives it a bulldog attitude and the appearance of great power and performance, it seems to work especially well with modern colors like the Cadillac Diamond White Pearl on this pickup. The fat fenders are still old-fashioned-looking, with rounded surfaces blending into the hood, it's one of those rare designs where there's not a single line or curve out of place. And although this one was finished a few years ago, it still looks good enough to show with pride at the local shows, and you'll love climbing in and heading out to the local cruise scene. Once you're there, folks will admire the oak bed, the Ford-script taillights, and the color-matched grille and headlight surround, gives it a very sleek look. The bumpers and emblems have been shaved, but there's a clean rear ... Please ask for the full description.

The bumpers and emblems have been shaved, but there's a clean rear roll pan, original FORD tailgate, and factory running boards, so everyone will recognize this truck the moment it shows up.

Finished in two tone cloth and vinyl, the interior is also a nice blend of new and old, covering a late-model Chevy bench with pleated fabric that's a lot more comfortable than the original vinyl. The instrument panel is a cleanly designed wooden insert with vintage-looking Auto Meter gauges, and it neatly matches the woodgrained steering wheel. An overhead console houses a few extra dials, which is a really cool touch, as well as the Sony AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and a small storage compartment. A custom headliner helps keep things quiet inside, and with plenty of insulation, the Old Air A/C system is especially effective, with neatly integrated vents in the dash.

Tilt the custom hood forward and you'll find a 302 cubic inch V8 borrowed from a 1988 Mercury Cougar and dressed with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold in place of the original fuel injection. Factory ignition components, stock valve covers, and a serpentine belt drive are reliable parts from the OEM parts bin and a set of BBK shorty headers give it a horsepower bump. It was fully rebuilt with an .030 overbore, a Ford Motorsports B303 camshaft, and with just over 14,000 miles on the build, it's still quite fresh. The transmission is a C6 3-speed automatic which feeds a Chevy 12-bolt with 3.31 gears inside, so it's a great highway cruiser. The front suspension is from a 1980s Chevy Monte Carlo, and includes power steering and front disc brakes, but it's been lowered slightly for a fantastic stance that totally nails the look that you want in your old truck. Those Chevy parts also mean that the color-matched 15-inch Camaro IROC aluminum wheels with 255/70/15 white-letters radials look right and fit well.

Just a neat Ford pickup, ready to enjoy. With a few modern styling twists and all the creature comforts, you'll love driving it as much as showing it. Call today!
