Skyrocketing Mustang prices got you down? Never fear! Get all the performance with a cool low-profile look in this nicely finished 1965 Ford Falcon Futura. Same snarky 289, same agile suspension, and a great upscale look that seems more grown-up than the Mustang, almost like a factory sleeper.
Basic black looks just as awesome on the Falcon as it does on the Mustang, giving it a sophisticated look that belies its price tag. The Falcon Futura was the top-of-the-line and it shows, with added trim and a great corporate look that was more Galaxie than grocery-getter. Paint and bodywork are great, suggesting that someone was really enjoying the idea of a high-end Falcon that could run with the ponies. It's a southern car with just one older repaint, so you know the metal underneath is in good shape. In addition, gaps are even, the panels line up right, and the sharply creased sheetmetal is crisply rendered; just look at all the character lines Ford stamped into the Falcon and you'll see that this was no easy restoration.
