NEW COKER WHITE WALL TIRES, ORIGINAL 472CI MOTOR, BELIEVED TO BE 30K MILES!

You haven't experienced luxury until you've driven a full-sized Cadillac like this 1972 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. The term “It rides like a Cadillac,” was coined because of these cars, whose hovercraft-like road manners deliver an entirely different level of smoothness and isolation than we're used to today. And you simply can't get more sheetmetal for your dollar than a '70s Cadillac, and this one shows just 30,808 original miles!

This is a highly original car that still sports most of its original paint and all of its factory sheetmetal. With just two owners from new, including the most recent owner who purchased it in 1977, the car's history is solid and it has been a cherished garage queen since being retired from daily duty in 1990. Spanning nearly 18 feet long, this massive sedan was state-of-the-art in luxury cars in the early 1970s, and there's no question that when you showed up in this car, everyone knew you were a player. Paint remains very good, with a few signs of touch-ups here and there, but there's absolutely no reason to consider a repaint. The lack of a vinyl top is unusual for the period but gives the car a very clean, sleek look that seems especially appealing today. OEM ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

NEW COKER WHITE WALL TIRES, ORIGINAL 472CI MOTOR, BELIEVED TO BE 30K MILES!

You haven't experienced luxury until you've driven a full-sized Cadillac like this 1972 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. The term "It rides like a Cadillac," was coined because of these cars, whose hovercraft-like road manners deliver an entirely different level of smoothness and isolation than we're used to today.

OEM chrome was quite good in 1972, and thanks to a lifetime in the Texas sun, everything is still bright and shiny.

As you might imagine, there's enough space inside for this car to qualify as an addition on your home. Legroom is expansive in back, and the funky gold brocade upholstery is pure 1970s chic and remains in excellent condition. The wrap-around dash is not big on instrumentation, but almost everything was standard on the top-of-the-line Fleetwood, including automatic climate control (which should be operational with a recharge), a tilt wheel, cruise control, rear defroster, and an AM/FM stereo. Plush carpets make it feel serene inside and you'll feel coddled inside this plush luxury car in a way you've never before experienced. Heck, there are even robe rails for back seat passengers, with legroom that you need a limo to duplicate today. Even the trunk is nearly spotless, wearing its original mouse fur lining, rubber mat, and matching spare tire with cover and a complete jack assembly.

Cadillac's goal with the powerplant was effortless cruising, and the mighty 472 cubic inch V8 delivers. One of the biggest production V8s, torque is prodigious and it idles nearly silently, with a muscular undertone from the catalyst-free exhaust system. The engine has never been out of the car, and runs like new, starting quickly, easily settling into a smooth idle, and pulling the 5000-pound Cadillac around with uncanny ease. The engine bay is highly original with signs of recent maintenance, including new belts and hoses, and it's impressively clean for an original car. The TH400 3-speed automatic shifts properly, and while it's a bit crusty underneath, the surface scale is all superficial and poses no problems for the new owner. A new exhaust system been fitted recently, and four 235/75/15 Coker whitewall radials give it an amazingly smooth ride with a period-correct look.

Complete with service records and a long history of ownership, you can now enjoy king-sized luxury at an economy car price with this lovely Sedan DeVille. Call today!
