Admit it, you've always wanted a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe just like this. It's arguably the most desirable Corvette of all and with this matching-numbers car wearing a recent frame-off restoration, it's just about as good as such cars can be. Add in a few subtle and smart upgrades like A/C and disc brakes, and you get a beautiful car that's also a joy to drive.
This gorgeous Corvette has been expertly refinished in its original code 916 Daytona Blue, which is not only rare, but simply spectacular on the split-window's famous fiberglass shape. It was restored to the highest standards, "imperfect perfection" requirements be damned, and they simply forgot to tell the guys doing the work that restored Corvettes aren't supposed to be this unblemished. Ah, what the heck, sometimes you need to wreck the curve for everyone else, and this showstopper will have people talking for all the right reasons. The gel coat was topped and sanded twice before a drop of paint went on, the gaps were aligned to an almost superhuman degree, and the paint is two-stage urethane that's been color-sanded and buffed for a shine that they didn't even dare dream of in 1963. You want an impressive ... Please ask for the full description.

You want an impressive split-window? This one will blow your mind!
It also sports an ultra-rare and incredibly sophisticated dark blue interior, which is just what code 490A specifies and how this coupe came from the factory. Combined with the Daytona Blue, it's simply heart-stoppingly beautiful and with the expert restoration, it'll be hard to resist just sitting in there, never mind actually driving the thing. It's dark enough that some may confuse it with black, but that'll make it easy to maintain and the blue carpets offer some welcome contrast. Aftermarket A/C has been expertly integrated into the dash so that it says almost completely out of sight, yet modern hardware makes it effective, (it seems that only 278 Corvettes were built with factory A/C in 1963, so good luck finding an original!). New carpets, fresh door panels, and one of the best-fitting headliners we've ever seen round out the soft parts inside. There's also a AM/FM radio, so you know they were careful about the upgrades in this one.
That is the original, numbers-matching 327 cubic inch V8 living under the hood. Rebuilt just 1500 miles ago and detailed to look like it just rolled out of the showroom, it's obvious they had a lot of respect for the performance potential of this engine. Even the little stuff is correct, from the chrome ignition shields to the ram's horn exhaust manifolds. The only visible alteration is the dual master cylinder, which was needed for the front disc brake upgrade, but I don't think anyone will argue with the safety it offers. Sliding underneath, you'll also find a nicely detailed chassis with excellent floors, restored frame, rebuilt suspension and brakes, and a chambered exhaust system that sounds just awesome. The 4-speed manual gearbox is likely original to the car (call for details) and it still turns the original rear end, the first fully independent rear suspension on a Corvette. Knock-off wheels weren't actually available in 1963, although they tried get them on the options list, with these wearing subtle 205/70/15 whitewall radials.
A brilliantly executed car that only enhances all that was already great about the early C2 Corvette. The look and workmanship are so extraordinary, nobody will bat an eye over the modest and very smart modifications. Call today!
