Sometimes all the right ingredients come together and you get an amazing piece of hardware like this 1970 Camaro SS. With an injected small block and a great color combination, it's a no compromises hobby car that you can drive every day. Oh, and it's also beautiful to look at, if that helps.

Those stunning good looks start with the dramatic second-generation F-body, which really was a ground-breaking design in 1970. This one has been converted to an RS, complete with the gaping grille and delicate bumperettes on either side, the look overwhelmingly preferred by 2nd Gen enthusiasts. To that already handsome profile, this one adds a chin spoiler and a one-piece rear spoiler, whose low profile look works extremely well with the clean Camaro lines. Crouching on the raked suspension, the car looks ferocious even sitting still. Paint work is decent, with a great shine and black SS stripes that accentuate the car's long, lean stance and we appreciate the flat hood, which always looks best on these cars; cowl-induction hoods always seem too retro for such a clean design. The bumpers and other bright trim has all been re-plated or polished, and reproduction SS emblems were fitted as needed. ... Please ask for the full description.

350CI TUNE PORT SWAP, RS FRONT BUMPERS, TILT STEERING, FRONT DISC BRAKES

While the original cockpit was certainly no slouch in the driver ergonomics department, this Camaro takes it to the next level with custom black cloth upholstery and lots of custom touches that make it a thrill to drive. The wrap-around instrument panel covers only the basics, so a set of auxiliary gauges were neatly installed in a custom housing next to the console. A later AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit has been expertly installed in the dash and the aftermarket A/C system was neatly integrated into the original factory controls, which is a neat trick. You'll note a modern ALDL connector under the tilt steering column so you can interface with the L98's fuel injection system and a horseshoe shifter for the TH350 3-speed automatic is always a win as far as we're concerned. In back, the trunk offers a full set of black carpets that show some age but give the trunk a finished look.

The familiar 350 cubic inch L98 barks to life instantly thanks to factory fuel injection. With finned valve covers and that instantly recognizable intake manifold with individual runners, opening the hood makes a real statement. OEM engineering continues with a serpentine belt drive system for the accessory drive. Stock exhaust manifolds and twin glasspack-style mufflers give it that horsepower sound, and while you're looking around, note that the floors are in very good original shape. The great thing about fuel injection is that it is so user-friendly, so you just turn the key and this one starts easily and idles properly, even when it's cold, and you already know that the L98 is a torque factory so performance is entertaining. A fatter front sway bar improves handling and it sits on handsome 15-inch SS wheels with blacked-out centers and 225/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials at all four corners.

This is the right way to build a resto-mod and the OEM-levels of reliability that it brings means you can own, show, and drive this Camaro with confidence. Call today!
