FIBERGLASS BODY, PETE & JAKES CHASSIS, AWESOME LEATHER INTERIOR, 350CI CHEVY

This 1932 Ford 3-window coupe just looks tough. Not just pretty, but mean. And with a snarky 350 up front, a leather-lined interior, and all the creature comforts, it's got the hardware to back up its bad attitude.

Hi-boys will never go out of style. They're the prototypical hot rod, the ultimate in minimalism and performance from the very earliest days of hot-rodding. And while a lot of guys build the same car over and over, this pro-built coupe has a purposeful look that's very appealing. Sure, all the basics are there, from the chopped top to the nose-down ride height, but those big wheels and tires and plenty of ground clearance suggest that it doesn't have time for being pretty, it has races to win. The black paint is simple and timeless, and again, it'll always look stylish. The simple orange pinstripe work ties it together with the interior and follows traditional patterns for a vintage vibe. Finish quality is outstanding, but like I said, this one isn't about being pretty, it's about function. However, traditional design touches like the V-shaped spreader bar up front, LED taillights out back, and miles-deep paint suggest that it wasn't 100% form following function. Details matter ...

Details matter and this car nails it. We'll also note that the hood and hoodsides also come with the car already painted and ready to throw on.

The black and orange interior sure isn't subtle, but in this car it definitely works. The 3-window coupe's interior geometry is a bit different than the 5-window, so there's plenty of legroom. Custom door panels and seat covers use diamond-tufted leather that adds a cool texture and it's full of thoughtful touches like custom center console with cup holders. A variety of aircraft-looking gauges from Classic Instruments fill the dash, along with controls for the Vintage Air A/C system and the AM/FM/iPod stereo head unit. There's a tilt column with a banjo-style wheel, neatly integrated power window switches that blend in with the upholstery, and that cool shifter with piston-shaped knob to manage the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission underneath. The trunk is also beautifully finished with matching side panels and a remote-mounted battery which still leaves plenty of cargo space for your road trip gear.

Traditional power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 that puts function ahead of style, although it still manages a vintage hi-po look. Finned valve covers and a custom painted air cleaner are the obvious upgrades, but perhaps more notable is how well everything is packaged to fit in the tight engine bay. The accessories are snugged in tight to the block and the block-hugging exhaust system sounds great. A big Holley 4-barrel carburetor lives on an aluminum intake manifold and a giant electric fan and thick radiator keeps everything cool. The car also includes a louvered hood that's finished to the same high standards, so if you like that clean look, it's just a few minutes away. The chassis is a Pete and Jake's piece along with the front end, trick hidden disc brakes, and a 9-inch Ford rear end hanging on a 4-link with coil-overs. The frame is painted to match the body and much of the suspension is chromed, so it looks great out there in the open. Traditional-looking American Racing wheels look like vintage Halibrands and carry staggered BFG radials.

Professionally built in 2009 and showing less than 2000 miles since it was completed, this is still a very fresh car. 1932 Ford 3-window hi-boys never go out of style, and this one gets all the big stuff exactly right. Call today!
