454 CI, CHANNELED STEEL BODY, A ARMS, 4-LINK, COIL-OVERS, 17" BOYD, A/C, 700R4!

Sometimes the coolest rods are those that take traditional looks and juxtapose them in new ways. This 1934 Ford tudor sedan, for example, has kind of a hi-boy vibe, but the detailing and finish work suggest the top customs. And with a big block under the hood, it's no slouch in the performance department, either.

That's a steel body with 'glass rear fenders, and someone obviously spent many long nights working the panels into shape. Surprisingly, the top is not chopped, but the body has been channeled down over the frame to give it a long, low look that still screams “1934 Ford!” That vivid paint is from Pontiac Firebird pallet, called Sunset Orange, and it looks spectacular on the old Ford body. There are numerous little details that maybe you've never seen before, such as the chrome latches that hold the hood in place, the fairing around the grille that blends into the engine bay, and the bicycle-style front fenders that are pure function. More traditional items include the ornate pinstripes that highlight the body's already lovely moldings, and the scroll-type door handles that were original equipment. The car is just downright beautiful.

Two-tone leather highlights the 2-passenger ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

Surprisingly, the top is not chopped, but the body has been channeled down over the frame to give it a long, low look that still screams "1934 Ford!" That vivid paint is from Pontiac Firebird pallet, called Sunset Orange, and it looks spectacular on the old Ford body.

Two-tone leather highlights the 2-passenger interior that's every bit as innovative and well-executed as the exterior. The leather was carefully chosen to match the Sunset Orange paint and beautifully stitched, and every single component inside this car was custom made just for this car. The beautiful instrument panel is a subtle tribute to the original look, and it's now filled with digital gauges that light up when you turn the key. The back seat is gone, replaced by a full custom enclosure for the AM/FM/CD/satellite stereo system, which has speakers throughout the interior. There's also a fabricated center console whose controls look like the futuristic systems in an exotic supercar, ranging from the A/C system to the shifter for the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. A variety of hidden switches control things like the overdrive lockout, A/C compressor, and the interior lights, and options like power windows and a tilt column are, of course, included.

A 454 cubic inch Chevy crate motor makes effortless torque and is a pleasant surprise in a rod where you'd expect a small block. An Edelbrock intake with a Holley 4-barrel plus an HEI ignition are the lone modifications, so it starts easily and runs superbly, cruising at 70 MPH with effortless ease. With all that chrome, it's spectacular to look at and despite being about five years old, it still shows well enough to collect trophies just about anywhere. The chassis was expertly built and used three different suspension combinations before they found just the right combination to deliver sharp handling and easy cruising at 70 MPH. Polished A-arms live up front and there's a 4-link out back, with coil-overs all around, and that gorgeous exhaust system was custom fabricated by Stainless Systems of Cleveland, Tennessee. Gorgeous Body Coddington billet wheels replicate the traditional big-n-little combination with 195/65/15 front and 215/50/17 rear performance radials.

Stunning in execution and design, this is a rod that is not only beautifully crafted, but wonderfully innovative at the same time. In today's age of cookie-cutter rods, that kind of individuality is more important than ever. Call today!
