SHOW-QUALITY SUNSET ORANGE PAINT, 400 CI, R134 A/C, 17" WHEELS, RETRO SOUND!!

Attention early Camaro fans: THIS is how you do it. Take a clean 1968 body shell, give it a stellar paint job, stuff it full of small block horsepower, and add a few comfort and convenience items to make a pleasant drive on the street. When a car looks this good, it's hard to resist.

If you had to pick just one word to describe this awesome Camaro coupe, it would be 'sleek.' Maybe it's the purity of the original shape, but it looks especially good wearing modern Sunset Orange paint, which seems to glow from within on the vintage F-body shape. No body mods save for a stock ducktail spoiler mean that it doesn't have to do much to attract attention, and they even kept the stock hood with its very cool faux velocity stacks. Finish quality is very impressive, with great gaps and super straight bodywork that has nowhere to hide with that chromatic paint sitting on top of it. It doesn't matter if it's a real SS at this point, but it does carry a blacked-out SS grille for effect, but it has otherwise been completely de-badged. The few chrome bits that were on the original design remain in place, and the whole effect is timeless and clean. This Camaro just looks right.

That sizzle continues inside ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

That sizzle continues inside with a tastefully modified interior that pays more than a passing tribute to the original designers. Low-back buckets look vintage, but they've been over-stuffed just a bit to add a bit of comfort and support. The soft parts are all new, including carpets, seat covers, door panels, and headliner, and with the matching Sunset Orange dash, there's just enough contrast to make all-black look great. A Grant GT steering wheel feels great in your hands but still offers great sightlines to the factory instruments, which have been fully restored. Experts will note that this is a factory A/C car, and the system is in place and functional thanks to modern components and R134a refrigerant. Retro Sound provided one of their stealthy stereo setups, which includes the head unit and custom kick panels with speakers built right in. Cool factory features like the horseshoe shifter and center console remain in place and the trunk is finished with spatter paint, just as it was in '68.

Under the hood it still packs a small-block Chevy, but this one is a later 400 cubic inch mill, and hey, who doesn't want 50 extra cubes? It's obviously designed to fit there perfectly and with proven hardware like an aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, HEI ignition system, and long-tube headers, it makes reliable power that'll take you coast-to-coast without an issue. It has a traditional look with Chevy Orange paint and a few shiny dress-up pieces, and a big aluminum radiator keeps things cool even with the A/C blasting. Behind it, there's a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a rugged 10-bolt out back, and the exhaust system features electric cut-outs, so the soundtrack can go from nice to WOW! in a few seconds. Gorgeous 17-inch wheels are modern interpretations of classic SS hoops and now wear low-profile rubber that looks right.

So beware if you drive an inferior Camaro, cars like this are out there and they're very affordable. All the hard work is already done with this one, so all you have to do is go have some fun. Call today!
