Now that values have safely settled into a known range, the C4 Corvettes are a fantastic, fun investment in the old car hobby. This 1990 Corvette convertible is the kind that you'll see decades from now as a highly-sought survivor, as today it shows just 27,761 actual miles and is in completely unmodified condition.
Polo Green is a sublime color on the C4, perfectly capturing the dual nature of Chevy's plastic sports car. On the one hand, it's a 'Vette, and you know it takes no prisoners, but on the other, it's actually elegant and well-appointed, a luxurious machine that definitely represents the top-of-the-line. The dark green metallic finish will never go out of style, and thanks to expert care over the past two decades it remains in almost new condition throughout. The way this car was obviously treated means that it still draws appreciative stares out on the road and more than a few people will just come right out and tell you how gorgeous they think it is. The fit and finish are very good, indicative of the major quality-control improvements made at the Bowling Green factory during C4 production. High-wear areas like the front and rear bumpers and the deck where the soft top latches ... Please ask for the full description.

High-wear areas like the front and rear bumpers and the deck where the soft top latches have been recently refinished, but the color match is spot-on, giving it a very factory look.
The tan leather upholstery is the ideal complement to the dark green paint, with supple hides covering the optional articulated sport seats. There's some minor wear on the high-traffic areas like the driver's side bolsters, but you can easily see that this is a low-mile car in the sharpness of the details and overall fresh look. Just about everything was standard on the Corvette, including power windows and locks, powerful A/C, cruise control, and a comprehensive set of instruments. Options include those aforementioned sport seats as well as F41 selective ride control, which was a fairly successful attempt to give the Corvette the best of both worlds; while these cars have a reputation for a firm ride, this one remains quite comfortable. The tan convertible top gives the entire car an upscale look when it's up, and like all Corvettes, it stows quickly and easily in a matter of seconds under a hard deck that gives it an uninterrupted line from nose to tail.
Chevy's L98 350 cubic inch V8 was a mainstay of early C4 production, and history has demonstrated that it's one of the most reliable and durable powerplants to ever wear the crossed-flags emblem. A veritable torque factory, it delivers the kind of neck-snapping performance that makes grown men laugh out loud and even in stock form, this Corvette is more than a match for almost anything else on the street. And while there are millions of aftermarket upgrade parts available, this convertible's V8 is almost entirely stock, adding to its credentials as a smart buy. No abuse, no questionable mods, just a clean, low-mileage car that's obviously led a very good life. A 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and towering 3.07 gears mean that it just loafs along on the highway and actually pulls down decent fuel economy. Beautiful 17-inch aluminum wheels look almost new and carry 275/40/17 Goodyears.
This is a really smart buy, especially since it's a 1-owner, low-mile, documented car. But it's so pretty, we don't really think you'll have to convince yourself to take it home. Call today!
