327 CI, SINISTER BLACK REPAINT, GREAT LONGBED DRIVER, READY FOR WORK OR PLAY

You can still get a lot of vintage iron for not a lot of money. Take this 1964 Chevy C10 pickup, which has a recent paint job, a comfortable interior, and V8 power, all for a very attractive price. If just having fun in a vintage truck is your goal, there aren't many more budget-friendly ways to do it.

The mid-60s Chevy pickups were a styling home-run, and they sold record numbers of them as a result. Today, they have a great old truck vibe without being so archaic that they can't be driven like a regular vehicle. Painting it black certainly helps give this one a bit of an attitude, and it certainly attracts attention wherever you park it. No, it's not perfect, but it's nicer than you'd expect at this price, which will barely buy you a 10-year-old work truck in the used car world. Instead, you get loads of character, a genuine wood bed that offers a warm contrast to the black paint, and enough chrome to look right, including a brand new rear bumper. The grille was blacked out to give it a bit of a sinister edge, and the unique airfoil on the back of the cab of these trucks is just plain cool.

The black cloth interior adds to the no-nonsense vibe of this pickup, and with a new seat cover ... Please ask for the full description.

The black cloth interior adds to the no-nonsense vibe of this pickup, and with a new seat cover and carpets, it feels more luxurious than many of its contemporaries. On the other hand, it's still rugged and built for the job site, so the controls feel robust in your hands and everything's simple and direct. The gauges are well-marked with orange pointers hidden behind a single panel and the steering wheel has a dressed-up look with that shiny horn ring in the center. Auxiliary gauges were installed just to the right of the main instrument panel and the original AM radio still lives in the center of the dash. Manual transmission fans will be happy to see three pedals on the floor and a big, old-fashioned shift lever in the center of the cab, giving this truck a vintage feel that's a big part of the reason why we love old pickups so much.

The engine is a 327 cubic inch V8, which delivers a healthy wallop of torque to get this long bed pickup rolling without strain. With bright Chevy Orange paint, a few shiny dress-up items, and a 4-barrel carburetor, it has the right look under the hood and definitely makes this truck feel quick around town. A new alternator was installed recently and someone has obviously attended to the brake system in the not-too-distant past. Underneath, there's a recent dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers for a great V8 sound and with a fully independent front suspension and coil springs out back, this is a great-riding pickup even when you're not carrying a load. It's tidy underneath, although not detailed for show, and it appears that the frame has been coated with durable paint, so it's ready for another 50 years. Big 16-inch steel wheels were painted to match the body and fitted with bright trim rings, so it has a unique look, and there are 245/75/17 Goodyears all around.

This truck covers the basics and is a lot of fun as-is, or could be the foundation of something truly amazing, and at this price, it doesn't cost a lot to start having fun. Call today!
