SHOW-STOPPER BUILD, BEAUTIFULLY CHOPPED & BOBBED, R134 A/C, TILT-OUT WINDSHIELD!

This 1934 Chevrolet pickup proves that good taste never goes out of fashion. Built way back in 1978 and freshened a few years ago, it shows a timeless look and impressive workmanship that still looks phenomenal 35 years later.

Given how impressive this truck looks today, it must have been absolutely mind-blowing back in 1978. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and a custom hood, and none of the factory details were misplaced during the build. Old-fashioned hard work and sweat equity is never obsolete, and given how good the copper paint looks, you know the guys who did the work were craftsmen of the highest order. The top was chopped 3.5 inches but you'd never know it without a stock truck for comparison, another sign of quality work. The bed was bobbed about ten inches to give it compact proportions that are more sporting, then filled with handsome light-colored timber and stainless rub strips to make it beautiful. You'll note that a fuel filler cap has been cleverly integrated into the bed floor and the truck still sports shiny chrome bumpers fore and aft. The grille shell is filled with a custom stainless insert with King-Bee style headlights on either side and there are a ... Please ask for the full description.

The grille shell is filled with a custom stainless insert with King-Bee style headlights on either side and there are a few pinstriped flourishes to give it some character. You can't help but be impressed by this little truck.

The interior was all-new a few years ago and is anchored by a pair of tan leather bucket seats. Matching door panels were created at the same time and the floors were covered in plush tan carpets, all of which keeps things bright inside the compact cab. The aluminum dash has a faintly high-tech look and is filled with clear VDO gauges and a pair of eyeball vents for the A/C system. A color-matched tilt column is topped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and both the shifter and the emergency brake look fairly authentic for the era. Despite the chopped top and compact cab, there's plenty of space inside for full-grown adults and on those days when it's not hot enough for the A/C, the tilt-out windshield still works. Other accessories include power windows and a CD player, making this the kind of truck you can drive anywhere, anytime, although rumor has it that it's never seen rain.

A 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 lives under the custom hood, and with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, Mallory distributor, and block-hugger headers, it's a reliable combination that was perfected decades ago. With just 10,000 miles on it, the engine runs superbly with a great cackle from the exhaust and enough torque to make this pickup surprisingly fast. There's plenty of chrome and other shiny stuff under the hood to make it worthwhile to keep it open at shows, and it's bolted to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and 9-inch rear to make a bulletproof drivetrain. The entire chassis has been painted to match the body, including the Mustang II type front suspension and springs, while the ladder bars out back are chrome. Classic Torque Thrust wheels and 215/70/15 radials were added just recently, giving it classic rolling stock for its timeless look.

Always a cherished and pampered show vehicle, this incredible Chevy defies the years and proves that great rods never go out of style. Call today!
