350 CI, 20" JAX ALLOY WHEELS, POWER STEERING & BRAKES, TILT, TONNEAU COVER!

To build trucks that grab your attention and hold it, you need to have vision. There's more to building great customs than just opening a catalog and installing shiny stuff, you need a theme. Looking at this 1968 Chevy C-20 pickup, it's clear that the builder had both the vision and the talent to bring it to life, giving it a unique look that's both timeless and extremely appealing.

This is a big truck, the heavier-duty C-20 instead of the usual C-10, but the beautiful steely blue paint masks its size and gives it a very sleek, modern look. And despite being a big hauler, it sure doesn't look like it was ever used for that, but rather a clean southern truck that's led a pretty good life in the sun. It has an 8-foot bed which is far more practical than the short bed and given the size of the truck, it makes for great proportions that suit it just fine. There's a good deal of cash wrapped up in the bodywork, which is straight and clean, with good panel alignment that shows in the way the rocker panel forms an unbroken line between the wheels. The paint is from a modern color palette but on the squared-off old Chevy it looks fantastic with a deep shine and great surfaces. It's not perfect ... Please ask for the full description.

It's not perfect since the build is a few years old, but with some care it will look this good 10 years from now and will still have an appealing look. THAT's what having vision is all about. No major deviations from stock and still wearing bright chrome bumpers, with a tonneau cover out back that makes it quite practical as well.

The handsome gray plaid interior is more evidence that the guy who built this truck knew what he wanted long before he started putting it together. It's sophisticated and a little bit playful, but like the exterior, it's also grown-up and will look fashionable practically forever. A wood-rimmed steering wheel certainly helps with the atmosphere inside and these trucks had some of the most handsome instrument panels of the period. Auxiliary gauges were added under the dash and with their round faces, they almost look like they've been there from the start. There's no sign of an original radio, but a modern AM/FM/CD head unit has been neatly installed in the dash where it's out of sight, powering 6x9 speakers installed in the doors. Everything is in good condition and nicely preserved since the build was completed a few years ago, including the rubberized floor coatings.

The engine bay has also been modernized and tastefully decorated to match the overall theme of clean yet modern. With 350 cubic inches, the engine moves the pickup with ease and looks great wearing gray Chevrolet valve covers and a matching air cleaner. Lots of new components, including the wiring harness, brake system, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, and long-tube headers ensure that it is reliable as well as powerful, and it has a fantastic V8 bark from the dual exhaust. A big front sway bar gives the big truck surprisingly nimble handling, and with a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission heavy-duty rear end it's still ready to work, too. Big 20-inch Jax alloy wheels fit well and carry 285/50/20 Cooper radials that fill the truck's wheel wells perfectly.

Nicely built and clearly a product of someone with a plan, this handsome C-20 drives as great as it looks, which is really saying something. Call today!
