LEGENDARY MACH 1, DOCUMENTED RESTO, MARTI REPORT, H-CODE 351 V8, AUTO, CODE 02!!

The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is undeniably one of the most attractive pony cars of all time, and with the 50th anniversary of the Mustang upon us, wouldn't it be awesome to show up at events with this Acapulco Blue Mach 1? Cars like this get big respect on the street as well as the show field, and few cars are as rock-solid as far as investments go.

Originally code E Aztec Aqua, which is a rather unusual color (for a reason), this gorgeous Mustang is a real-deal code 02 Mach 1 that includes all the upgrades that came with it. Super straight bodywork looks fabulous and good panel alignment ensures it'll stand up to scrutiny at local shows. Mach 1 details like the chin and deck lid spoilers, blacked-out hood with scoop, and the rear window slats make this one of the most aggressive-looking Mustangs of the period, with performance to back it up. The two-stage urethane paint glows and correct Mach 1 stripes have been added along the flanks, just in case you didn't notice all the other high-visibility cues that this is a potent pony. Hood pins, quarter panel scoops, and quad exhaust tips certainly don't hurt, either. Given the price, it looks like someone has invested a ton of money in this ...

Given the price, it looks like someone has invested a ton of money in this build, so it's like buying the restoration and getting the car for free.

The black bucket seat interior is standard Mach 1 fare and includes red highlights on the seat backs and vivid red floor mats that were a Mach 1 trademark. The door panels and seats are like new, while the rest of the interior has probably been freshened in the not-too-distant past. A woodgrained steering wheel works with the inserts on the door panels, the center console, and the gauge surrounds to give the Mach 1 an upscale air inside, a look that was purely intentional. Receipts show a fairly substantial pile of cash went into the interior, although some parts like the gauges themselves were nice enough in original condition to leave as-is. Settle yourself behind the wheel and you'll note that the view is one of the most exciting in the entire muscle car world, complete with signal indicators on the back of the hood scoop. There's also an AM/FM radio in the center stack and a nicely finished trunk with reproduction mats and a full-sized spare tire.

The H-code 351 cubic inch V8 delivered the right balance of muscle car torque and friendly handling to make it a winner in the Mach 1. Restored to stock specs, the 250 horsepower on tap are punchy enough to make this car a joy in traffic and comfortable out on the open road. The engine bay is fairly stock, with the only notable deviations being a set of chrome valve covers and a matching chrome alternator, but the little stuff like the hose clamps and reproduction decals are quite correct. Backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission, this really is a car that you can drive anywhere, anytime, and with 3.00 gears in the 9-inch rear, it's a great highway cruiser. Glasspack-style mufflers offer a threatening engine note and styled steel wheels with 215/60/14 BFG radials always look right.

Documented with a Marti Report and tons of restoration receipts, this is perhaps the last of the affordable restored Mach 1s. You've always wanted one, now is the time to buy. Call today!
