IT'S AMAZINGLY GREEN & IT SCREAMS 1979 STYLE! 302 V8, LOTS OF POWER OPTIONS, A/C

With an increasing demand for more fuel efficient vehicles in the 1970s, Ford attempted to downsize their entry for the 'personal luxury' car segment. The result was the seventh generation Thunderbird like you see here. This 1979 Ford Thunderbird is a wonderful representation of that era and makes the perfect cruiser for the enthusiast that is looking for a dependable classic.

The first thing that you'll notice on this Thunderbird is that dark green paint. It's just enough green to stand out and receive complements with, but subtle enough that you don't have to worry about it being too flashy. The contrasting white vinyl top complements the green hue well and is accented even more with white pin striping and chrome trim leading down the sides of the car. Standing at the front of the car, it's easy to appreciate the sculpted lines that lead your eyes down the hood to the chrome grille that is topped by an admirable hood ornament and flanked by the cool hideaway headlights. With big chrome bumpers at the front and rear, the overall package comes together nicely to a classy look.

Just looking at the car you can imagine the feeling of floating on air, open the doors and take a seat on the ... Please ask for the full description.

Just looking at the car you can imagine the feeling of floating on air, open the doors and take a seat on the plush cloth interior and that feeling is confirmed. The green continues inside and covers the bench seats up front and in the rear. The dash, steering wheel and door panels are covered in the pleasant green hue as well, accented with wood applique. The green on green combo works very well and makes for a very comfortable cabin. To make the driving experience even more comfortable, there is a power seat for the driver and all of the luxuries and amenities you'd expect from a car of this era are present, such as power steering, AC, heat and an AM/FM radio.

Powering this big coupe is a 302 cubic inch V8. Pop open the hood and you can see that it didn't remain stock. The engine has been upgraded with an Edelbrock air cleaner, carburetor and intake, then dressed up with chrome valve covers and a chrome breather. To squeeze out a few more ponies and enhance the driving experience, that 302 now exhales through a dual exhaust system. The undercarriage is solid, what you would expect from a car like this. It was meant to be driven and there are plenty more smooth-driving miles left from the hardware underneath. Disc brakes up front and drums in the rear help with stopping power.

With a low price and high entertainment value, this car is an absolute bargain! It may not see the show field any time soon, but this Thunderbird was meant to be enjoyed on the open road. It's cars like this that make the hobby fun for everyone, whether you're the driver of this green beauty or you spot it cruising down the highway. Don't miss your chance to take this one home.
