INCREDIBLE RECENT & THOROUGH RESTO, DRIVE OR SHOW, 390 V8, PS, PWR FRONT DISCS!!

This pretty 1968 Ford F-100 Ranger pickup is what you get when you dream of ordering one new from the factory but show up forty-five years too late. Although much of the truck is built to stock, the restoration created one man's vision of the ultimate late-60s pickup that he always dreamed of owning. With restoration costs all out of proportion to the list price, this is quite honestly one of the finest we've ever seen.

Restored about two years ago, this black pickup is quite impressive even up close. Black isn't the truck's original color, so you know there was a lot of overtime involved in the restoration to not only get it straight enough for the glossy finish, but also to fully disassemble it in preparation for a full color change. But it all paid off, because the sucker looks like a million bucks. Note how the reflections of our floor are crisp and clear in the paint, how well the doors fit, and the very crisp look overall. The grille is from a '69 so it's a little different-looking, but only so experts would spot it, and the limited chrome and trim only emphasizes the black's depth and gloss. Of course, chrome bumpers look great and the stunning pine bed was installed over diamond ... Please ask for the full description.

Of course, chrome bumpers look great and the stunning pine bed was installed over diamond plate so it'll handle anything you're brave enough to throw in there.

Since he was aiming high, the guy who restored this truck installed a beautiful red interior to complement the black bodywork, a combination that always works. A fresh seat cover in the original style, new red carpets with heel pad and the correct weave, plus matching red dash pad and seat belts make it look very correct. The door panels are painted steel, which was standard equipment on all pickups back in the day, but this Ranger got a full complement of gauges in the unique oval-shaped instrument panel. The steering wheel with chrome horn ring looks like it belongs in a more upscale vehicle but offers plenty of leverage for those poor souls who weren't smart enough to order power steering (fortunately, this truck has it). The original AM radio remains in the dash, nicely tying in the entire interior. There's also a sliding rear window that makes for pleasing ventilation at any speed.

If you want torque in your pickup, the 390 cubic inch V8 in this one is happy to oblige. With just test and tune miles on the rebuild, it cackles like it belongs in a Mustang and is dressed like it should be, too, with finned valve covers and a matching Edelbrock air cleaner. It's a neat fit in the Ranger's engine bay and it definitely has a Ford performance look that feels right. Power front disc brakes were added for safety, along with new shocks at all four corners. The frame and running gear are highly detailed with lots of shiny black paint, a new dual Flowmaster exhaust system, and a shiny new drive shaft and 9-inch rear end. Period Cragar mags strike the right tone and carry 275/60/15 BFGoodrich radials.

This ultra-clean Ford is so well done that you'd think it should cost thousands more than it does. Instead, you can own one of the finest late-60s pickups we've ever seen for a fraction of the restoration cost. Call today!
