Don't worry, it's still easy and inexpensive to get into a great-looking Corvette with a rumbling V8 and a ton of options. This 1974 roadster is a perfect example: a sweet-running small block, loads of factory options like A/C and power windows, and a timeless color combination that will never go out of style. If you're looking for first-class fun at an economy class price, this Corvette is your ticket.
While white may not be as exciting as Bright Yellow or Mille Miglia Red, you can't argue with the clean, understated good looks of this Corvette, and code 10L Classic White is indeed its original color, which purists will appreciate. The bodywork was restored to a very good standard, too, with great gaps and paint that emphasizes the Corvette's seductive shape. This one features a custom rear bumper fascia that gives it a totally unique look that's still instantly recognizable as a Corvette. Other details like a chrome luggage rack give it a crisp, fresh look that looks great going down the road. Add in a removable hard top and it makes this roadster an all-weather cruiser.

Of course, nothing goes with white like a dark blue bucket seat interior, and the upholstery in this car is in excellent condition with original components throughout, although the door panels look so good, they might just be new. Code 413 Midnight Blue compliments the white bodywork with an upscale look that's more interesting than basic black. The gauges are in great condition showing only slight signs of aging, and the carpets are protected by a set of matching carpeted floor mats. Options like A/C, power windows, and a tilt/telescope wheel make it comfortable to travel all day, and the original radio has been replaced by an AM/FM/cassette head unit that looks like it was built to live in this Corvette.
Power comes from a correct L82 350, dressed for success in a coat of Chevy Orange with dress-up pieces like the finned Z/28 style valve covers, ignition shield, and air cleaner. Tidy and clean, it's perfect for a Corvette you're going to drive and show on weekends, and there's simply nothing as reliable (or as fun) as a small block Chevy in a Corvette. There are definitely signs of recent work and regular maintenance. It's backed by a heavy-duty TH400 3-speed automatic driving the stock Corvette rear end, which has highway-friendly gears inside that make this Corvette an easy cruiser. The floors are undercoated to control sound, and the new exhaust system sounds amazing, with a great small-block snarl. The brakes are firm and confidence-inspiring, and it rolls on a set of always-handsome Rally wheels and 225/70/15 Uniroyal radials.
If you never thought you could afford an early Corvette, guess again. This one is nicely finished, loaded with options, and surprisingly quick. If you haven't experienced the pure awesomeness that is a Corvette Caravan, I highly recommend getting into the game with this lovely Classic White roadster, and finding out for yourself how much fun owning a Corvette can be.
