CLEAN GMC HIGH SIERRA, SHARP PAINT, GREAT RUNNING 350 V8, SLIGHT LIFT, NICE!!!

It might be better to look at this 1987 GMC Sierra as a 4-wheel-drive Camaro rather than a pickup truck. All the right gear is there, including a warmed-over small block V8, no-nonsense bodywork, and a sporty interior, it's ready to work, play, and get dirty this weekend.

This truck is anything but subtle. Sure, silver doesn't stand out but the quality of the work and the towering ride height certainly get this truck noticed. Bodywork is quite good, better than any abused off-roader you've ever seen, in fact, and it's clear that someone spent a ton of cash getting this one to look right. The short bed/regular cab combination is definitely what you want if performance is your goal, and it probably doesn't hurt that it's arguably the best-looking package as well. The finish is fairly recent and unlike a lot of these trucks, it wasn't some cheap job but rather one that required a good bit of time and effort, because the results speak for themselves. They avoided the urge to dress it up with lights and stripes and roll bars, but it's still quite purposeful. The bed is in fantastic condition, offering more proof that this truck never had to work very hard.

The interior has been freshened as ... Please ask for the full description.

The interior has been freshened as well, with the most obvious change being the gray velour bench seat, a setup that mirrors the paint job. More gray on the door panels and dash tie it together, and it carries a set of heavy-duty floor mats, so it's easy to clean it out after a day playing in the dirt. The original gauges are in excellent condition and offer a fairly comprehensive view of the engine, and they're framed by a cool carbon fiber applique that works really well in this monochromatic passenger compartment. The shift quadrant shows positions for four forward gears, compliments of a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and there's a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo in the original radio's slot. It's basic but comfortable, just about what you'd want from a truck that can work or play depending on what you need that day.

The engine is a warmed-over 350 cubic inch V8 that ditches the wheezy 1987 emissions gear for a free-breathing 4-barrel carburetor, upgraded aluminum intake manifold, and an HEI ignition system. A few pieces of chrome mean that everyone will notice this truck's big horsepower upgrade and it runs beautifully. The satin black engine bay frames all the new hardware quite nicely and things like a new alternator and big radiator up front ensure reliability when there's no service station for miles. A custom dual exhaust system with long-tube headers was fabricated and intentionally repositioned up and inside the frame for protection and sounds great thanks to a pair of Flowmaster mufflers that are neither too loud nor too quiet. The suspension has obviously been upgraded with a lift kit and new shocks all around, and those handsome aluminum wheels now wear 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler radials.

With impressive performance and the ability to go just about anywhere, this is a truck for the guy who loves muscle but needs a bit of practicality on the side. Call today!
