The 3.4 liter DOHC V8 engine made a nice, round 300 horsepower in 1991, a rather big figure for the period and a nice upgrade over the previous model. It howls to redline with the most wonderful soundtrack this side of LeMans and moves the Mondial with cat-like ease.

You can see the race-bred hardware under the rear deck lid, tightly packed into the engine bay for maximum efficiency. The suspension has razor-sharp reflexes and you already know that the brakes are insanely powerful. With any Ferrari, service records are critical, and a new clutch was just installed by noted local Ferrari techs Automotive International. An extensive folder of bills and records show that the engine was maintained with a complete valve job and timing belt service by Ferrari of Beverly Hills at 40,000 miles. The original owner's book issued by Wide World of Cars is included in the records along with other literature and information issued at time of sale.
