BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED! 327/323HP V8 PLUS THE MATCHING #'S 327 ALSO, AUTO, AC, WOW

While Corvettes can be optioned into fire-breathing brutes, it's important to remember that they are equally adept at being refined grand-touring machines, as this lovely Marlboro Maroon 1967 Chevrolet Corvette ably demonstrates. And without a giant lump of cast iron over the front wheels, this strong-running small block becomes a fantastic dance partner once the pavement starts to twist. Better yet, it comes with an awesome pedigree that includes the freshly rebuilt numbers-matching engine on the side!

Code 988 Marlboro Maroon is one of those Corvette colors that transcend the American muscle car scene, transforming the stunning Sting Ray bodywork into something far more sophisticated. This one also happens to be beautifully refinished, with plenty of attention paid to all the critical areas. Restoring a Corvette to this level is no easy task, but the guys who built this one nailed it with great gaps, nice, straight bodywork, and just the right amount of metallic in the paint. Parked in the sun, there's a soft glow from the Marlboro Maroon, and it tends to highlight the mid-year Corvette's many lovely details in a way that no other color does. From the crisp line that circles the body to ... Please ask for the full description.

From the crisp line that circles the body to the subtly bulging fender blisters, you'll look at this Corvette in a new light once you see it in person. It's not perfect, but it's just beautiful to look at. The chrome has also been refinished, featuring bright bumpers, correct badges, and lots of nicely polished stainless steel. There aren't many Corvettes better-looking than this one.

The understated elegance theme continues inside where the standard black vinyl interior demonstrates why GM designers were at the top of their field in the mid-60s. The buckets are comfortable as well as stylish, and the twin-cockpit design harkens back to the very first Corvette. The gauges appear to be original and show crisp markings on their faces, and the woodgrained steering wheel is a very European touch that works well in America's sports car. The seats, carpets, dash pad, and door panels are all fresh reproductions that look right, and even the cargo area is masterfully finished. And yes, no see that correctly, this is an original PowerGlide car, which was fairly rare even in 1967 and makes this a Corvette that anyone can drive and enjoy without a second thought. It also has a nicely integrated A/C system, power windows, and an AM/FM radio, turning it into a fantastic grand tourer that looks like a million bucks.

Personally, I'm a big fan of small block Corvettes, and if you want a car that stops and corners, it's the only way to go. The original, numbers-matching 327 cubic inch V8 is included with the sale of this car, but it currently runs a freshly built (400 miles) 327 built by Speed Specialties Racing Engines and installed in December of 2015. We have dyno sheets that show 323 horsepower, which is a significant bump over the stocker, and it offers the kind of bulletproof reliability and smooth power delivery that the Europeans could only dream of. It's nicely detailed with bright Chevy Orange paint, chrome accents, and ram's horn exhaust manifolds, along with a few upgrades to help support the additional horsepower. Add in a nicely preserved chassis with recent shocks and brakes, plus power steering and a mellow exhaust system, and this is a 'Vette you'll be happy to drive cross-country. For the perfect period look, it has been fitted with 205/75/15 Michelin whitewall radials on pretty bolt-on alloy wheels.

With receipts, ownership history, and other paperwork, this is a high-quality Corvette that drives even better than it looks. Call today!
