BEAUTIFUL BIG BLOCK DROP TOP! 454 V8, AUTO, COLD A/C, GREAT PAINT! READY TO GO!

Chevelle fans we've got a great one for you here. This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 tribute offers everything you want in your next heavy cruiser: big block power, cold A/C, a fantastic color combination, and bucket seats. Oh, yeah, the top goes down, too, making it one heck of a summertime cruiser.

Outside, you'll find smooth and glossy Cranberry Red paint over well prepped flanks. The paint is even better looking in person than it is in pictures; you really can't capture the look with a camera. While the 1970s are everyone's favorite A-body, there's a good argument to be made for the '72's more refined look and personally, I like the single-headlight look best. The black stripes and SS badging lend a performance look and with a cowl induction hood, everyone pretty much knows to leave this one alone. In fact, those stripes are buried in the clear for a seamless look, and even though the original color was Gulf Green, there's no sign of it anywhere, indicative of a first-rate paint job. Even a few years after it was finished, the paint is quite good and will really stand out at the next local cruise-in. Chrome bumpers work with shiny door handles, a correct driver side mirror, and lots ... Please ask for the full description.

Chrome bumpers work with shiny door handles, a correct driver side mirror, and lots of polished stainless to really make this car sparkle. No, a bright red Chevelle convertible certainly isn't subtle, but this one stands up to the close examinations it's going to get.

Inside, you're greeted by recent parts from wall-to-wall. Reproduction seat covers, new door panels, new carpet, new sill plates, a clean dash pad, new chrome and more make this a place to spend some serious time. It's quite stock, just the way the factory would have done it, and they even kept the original wheel that should look familiar to Chevy fans as well as the horseshoe shifter on the center console. Factory gauges, including a tach, look right in an SS, and a set of auxiliary dials was added under the dash. Options include a tilt steering column and factory A/C that blows cold thanks to modern R134a refrigerant. The factory radio is still in the dash, but it's been superseded by a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo that's neatly installed underneath for an almost factory look. The black convertible top is in almost new condition and there was real money spent on the trunk, which has a correct mat and full-sized spare tire.

The big 454 cubic inch V8 is stout enough to get a big Chevelle up and moving, but it's got a rock solid idle, gets decent gas mileage, and doesn't run hot. It's dressed to the nines; orange paint adorns the block but the valve covers are chrome and it carries a functional cowl induction setup with proper labels on the air cleaner. Long tube headers dump spent gasses into a fresh dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and there are cut-outs if you really want to hear this one cackle. Power steering hangs to the engine's side, and a power brake booster was added to reduce effort. A dead reliable TH400 3-speed automatic transmission sends power back to a 10-bolt rear end so you don't have to worry about breaking stuff and just take a look at how clean it is underneath. Nice, right? Handsome 15-inch SS wheels are wrapped in staggered 215/70/15 front and 255/60/15 rear white-letter tires for a muscle car look.

If you're looking for a great cruiser, you'll need an intermediate muscle car. This one, with bright red paint, bulletproof mechanicals, new and shiny chrome pieces, and a great look should definitely be on your wish list. Call today!
