With the popularity of classic trucks growing, it's no surprise that this 1966 Ford F100 has already gotten the attention it has in our showroom. It's the perfect classic vehicle that you can show off at the cruise-in, but also a fun way to make a trip to your local hardware store.
The rich black paint on this '66 Ford was sprayed just as recently as 2013 and it looks great! Black is a great color that will age well and this finish has many years left in it. That deep black covers smooth body panels that line up well with even gaps and solid fitment. The grill, front bumper and rear bumper have been painted an off white color, and the contrast between the white, black, and red rims has a very classic look. Walking around the truck, it's very hard to find any flaws in the paint or body work. And if you choose to haul some plywood back from the hardware store, the bed has been lined with a spray on liner so you don't need to worry about scratching any finishes. Open the doors and inside you'll find a bench seat covered in red tweed fabric and vinyl. The springs in the bench remain firm and the fabric appears fresh, devoid of any tears. The door panels are very simple and have operational door handles and window cranks. The dash is also very simple, yet classic, finished in the same glossy black and white theme as the exterior, with the speedometer being housed in an off white bezel. There is a fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, oil pressure warning light, and alternator warning light that surround the speedometer for the very simplistic look of the times. It's all very straight-forward inside with just switches for the lights, windshield wipers and heat controls being mounted in front of the driver.
Lift the hood and you'll find an efficient 240 cubic inch inline six cylinder powering this pick up. It's covered in correct Ford blue paint and sits in a very clean engine bay that is well sorted. After lifting the hood you can be confident that this truck would do well on the show field. Power from that inline 6 goes to a 3-speed manual transmission that is manipulated by a column mounted shifter. The underneath has seen a bit of road time, but has had some detailing done recently. The previous owner was certainly proud of this truck and took it out on special occasions. It's all very basic, no wild customization or fancy show polishing...just a chassis that is ready for duty whether it be a simple cruise or hauling some hay.
Sometimes a little is a lot, and for the little price we have on this slick black painted '66 Ford F100 pick up you'll certainly get a lot. For the price you couldn't build one this nice. If you're ready for a well built and well finished classic pick up, now is your opportunity. Call today!
