If you're looking for something fun, different, and unique...how about this 1950 Chevrolet Styleline? It features a great-sounding V8, with all of the niceties you would want for a long enjoyable weekend cruise. With the price we have listed on this one, we don't expect it to last long either.
This big body is covered in a glossy coat of black paint that presents a reflective shine. The panels appear to be smooth and solid, providing a great surface for the paint. Out back there is a rear bumper that is also painted in black, it sits below the cool shaved trunk lid. It gives you thoughts on how the rest of the car would look if all the chrome was also blacked out. However, the chrome front bumper and grill does present a nice contrast against the black paint. The mirrors, door handles, and trim all present well and enhance the black and chrome contrast. Rolling stock includes 15'' ET wheels, wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber.
Inside is a new, custom interior. The front and rear bench seats are covered in clean, black leather with gray cloth inserts. Those bench seats remain firm and provide all day comfort. The door panels have been upholstered to match the seats with more pleated cloth and black leather. Up front is a black dash that hosts switches for the air conditioning, a clock, and a Sony AM/FM/CD head unit. In front of the driver is 3-spoke wood grain wheel that sits on a tilting column. Finally, the matching black faced Dolphin gauges show water temps, oil pressure, fuel level, voltage, and speed.
Power comes from a 355 cubic inch V8, mated to a Cottman built TCI 350 3-speed automatic transmission. Up top is a velocity stack air cleaner that pulls air into the Edelbrock 4 barrel 600cfm carburetor. Sparks are handled with large 8.5mm MSD plug wires, while an Everstart batter ensures reliable cranks. Exhaust is sent through a dual exhaust system that exits out of the side pipes just forward of the rear tires. That transmission turns a 10 bolt rear end that houses 2.73 Richmond gears. Underneath, there is the addition of Lakewood traction bars while rear air shocks, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front proved smooth and confident driving.
This 1950 Chevrolet Styleline presents a unique opportunity to own a cool cruiser that not only stands out, but sounds great while doing it. It's got a large and cozy interior with all of the necessities for a comfortable road trip. Call today!
