When Ford executives decided to move forward with production of the Mustang, they used the Ford Falcon as the foundation for what would soon be one of the most popular cars in American history. This 1964 Ford Falcon Futura represents a stepping stone in the birth of the pony car class with a bit of restomod, muscle car Sprint character.
Originally leaving the assembly plant in a Mint Green lacquer, this Falcon now wears a vivid coat red and it looks great! Walking around the car it's hard to find any concerning qualities in the paint, it's a finish that you can show with confidence. There is little to no pitting on the chrome bumpers that are mounted at the front and rear. They have clear reflections and appear to be new. A cool feature on the '64 Falcons is the stainless trim that spans the length of the body in a horizontal U-shape fashion, and the trim that is present on this car is clean and straight. It meets a stylish, vertically oriented trim piece that adds a sporty touch. 'Sprint' badges have been added, the rear end lifted, and that muscular stance sits on staggered 14'' rally II style wheels.

Description
Inside, the original turquoise interior has been replaced with clean black vinyl that covers front bucket seats and a rear bench seat. Those seats sit on fresh black carpet with floor mats up front and in the rear that appears new with very little wear. In between the front buckets is a center console that provides a comfortable armrest with storage underneath. Both door panels look very good with clean trim and glossy vinyl for an appealing look. The straight dash is very clean and hosts factory instrumentation with an AM radio and controls for the heat/defrost. Topping things off is a 3-spoke wood grain steering wheel that is comfortable to grip. Overall, the interior appears to be a very fresh and suggests a recent restoration.
Pull the latch to release the hood and it will eagerly spring open for you to show a clean engine bay that features a 302 cubic inch V8. Feeding air and fuel to that engine is a chrome 'Ford Motorsport' branded air cleaner, a Holley 4 barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock Torker 289 intake manifold. Sparks are provided by Accel plug wires, while spent gasses travel out a dual exhaust system that sings a muscular and throaty tune when you fire this engine to life. Transferring power to the Ford 9'' rear end is a nice addition of a Borg Warner 5-speed manual transmission with 185/70/14 front and 235/60/14 rear Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS radials putting the power to the ground.
This is a great car to pick up as a solid cruiser and appears to have seen a restoration sometime in the recent past. When you power a 1964 Falcon with a strong V8, and a smooth shifting 5-speed, the fun factor sky rockets, and this one aims to please with good looks, 302 power, and a manually shifted gear box. Cars like this don't last long. Call today!
