Let's be honest, the last time you saw a Jeep CJ7 this clean is probably when they were new on the dealer lots over 25 years ago. This 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo has been frame-off restored with everything working as it should, and presents an excellent opportunity to own the king of off-road utility at an appealing price.
Judging by the restoration photos included with this sale, this Jeep originally left the factory in a coat of silver paint with blue Renegade graphics. Today, it's covered in an attractive glossy black finish that is accented with new, bold silver Laredo decals, with a full decal kit included, and Laredo upgrades. Walking around the vehicle, it's hard to find any notable flaws. The paint shows sharp reflections and you can bet that there is no fading or cracking on the decals as they were just installed. The Laredo exclusive chrome grill and mirrors are present, but the bumper has been upgraded with a beefy tubular unit. There is also an upgraded tubular bumper at the rear that replaces the stock hardware. The doors shut with precision and soft, vinyl doors are also included with the sale.
When you're ready to enjoy some fair weather, the hard top comes off with the removal of a few bolts. Sitting on 33x12.50 Yokohama Geolander A/T-S tires that wrap 15'' bullet hole wheels, it's a proper look that you would expect from a Jeep.
Open the doors to an interior that is ready for duty, but doesn't appear to have seen too much of it since the frame off. The front buckets and rear seat are vinyl units, but wear excellent fitting neoprene covers for extra durability and coolness. Fresh black carpet covers the floors with rubber floor mats available to keep loose debris in check. The dash pad covering the Laredo dash appears brand new; in fact, most of the interior looks brand new. Between the front buckets is a large, lockable storage compartment that houses a JVC AM/FM/CD player with iPod compatibility that is wired to upgraded speakers. All of the necessary gauges are present and the air conditioning unit blows very cold air. Connecting the driver to the trails is a great looking 3-spoke steering wheel that sits on a tilt column.
Powering this Jeep is a correct, turnkey, fuel injected 4.2 liter inline 6 cylinder engine. Efficiency has been increased with the upgrade of an air filter, and it sends power to a 4-speed automatic. Both the engine and transmission are remanufactured units as well, that have less than 300 miles on them and the fuel lines, brake lines, and heater core have also been replaced. Anything that needed to be addressed was replaced if needed, so you can count on a Jeep that has plenty of reliability in it. The same fresh look continues underneath with a chassis that is just begging to be put to the test on your local trails.
With extensive records of receipts, this is a fully sorted off roader that is ready for your next adventure. Jeeps have always been and will always be in demand, and with the high quality, and great paint that this one brings to the table it will be a hot item in our showroom. Call today!
