The fifth generation Continental hasn't quite had the fame that the fourth generation 1960s cars have. But that doesn't demerit it from being at the same level of class and posh that it's older, suicide-door siblings are. That motors appears to have seen a couple of upgrades with an aluminum intake manifold and Holley carburetor. Power is sent to a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and translates power to the rear axle. Power steering and power brakes with discs up front make driving this big luxury car a pleasure. And the chassis is built to the standards that will have you feel like you're riding on air.
