The 1963 Ford Galaxie was built to win in the NASCAR circuit, and it's one of the few full-sized cars of any era that definitely looks fast just sitting still. This 1963 Galaxie is a great specimen that offers authentic style along with elegant class that proves why these cars have always been so cool.
The color is White Corinthian and it just looks right on the big Galaxie. The color is very subtle, but there's a boldness to it, perhaps because of the contrast with the striking styling of chrome trim, the whole car shows well with unique styling. The bodywork seems to be in good condition, it's straight and the details are sharp, emphasizing the long lines. There's plenty of chrome and trim on this top-of-the-line coupe, from the chrome bumpers to the stainless strip that runs the length of the car. And unique louvers near the taillights emphasize the jet-age-inspired design with fender skirts setting off the period flair.
Full-sized cars in the '60s meant room for six, even in the two-door models. The blue vinyl interior suggests a car that has always been treated well and more than mere transportation. Full-sized cars in the '60s meant room for six, even in the two-door models. The blue vinyl interior suggests a car that has always been treated well and more than mere transportation. The two-tone blue front bench shows some signs of use, while the back seat looks showroom fresh. Chrome and stainless trim is scattered throughout, from the door panels to the rear seat, giving some upscale refinement to the interior. With an AM/FM/Cassette player and a power adjustable seat, it's a pleasant cabin to spend time cruising on a sunny afternoon or warm Saturday night.
The engine is a 352 cubic inch V8, which offers torquey fun and a throaty growl. It's dressed nicely with a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, and has been updated with a Holley carburetor, and an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. It fires up easily with a great V8 soundtrack thanks to a dual exhaust system. It's backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and it cruises easily at highway speeds. Power steering and power brakes aid in the operation of this big 2-door with 205/75/14 tires maintaining traction to the ground.
Fords are catching up to their GM counterparts in terms of value, and when you can enjoy this much style and performance at such a low price, there's really no excuse not to pick up the phone. It's the perfect cruiser you can enjoy immediately. Call today!
