Let's just get to the point...this car is exceptionally nice! Here at Streetside Classics, we're all car guys and we're all a little jaded, but each one of us has complemented this 1968 Pontiac Firebird. It's a desirable color combination with a desirable engine, and looks that practically define what a muscle car should be.
The first thing you'll notice on this Firebird is obviously that bright red paint. Originally leaving its Ohio manufacturing plant in Turquoise Metallic, it's hard to argue that the vivid red paint covering this Pontiacs sheetmetal doesn't look right! It's liquid smooth, shows crisp reflections, and it's hard to point out any concerning flaws. Bright work is good and the chrome pieces look new. Taking a close look at the badges and emblems and they all appear new with little to no fading of the colors that is so typical with classics these days. Atop the hood are functional hood scoops and the very desirable hood tach. When you toss in the bright 15'' chrome Crager wheels, this Firebird is essentially the poster child of '60s muscle.
Red and black color combinations have never gotten old and will surely age well for years to come. The red paint on this car is ... Please ask for the full description.

The red paint on this car is contrasted nicely with a black vinyl interior. Bucket seats and a rear bench wear tear-free vinyl that could fool you into thinking that they haven't seen the first mile of use. Seat springs are firm and the pleated vinyl adds a stylish touch. Overall, the interior is just very clean. Three auxiallary gauges are mounted in the center of the dash and measure oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage. Those gauges sit above a Sony AM/FM/CD head unit that is wired to two 6x9 Pioneer speakers in the rear deck. The only other modification is the floor-mounted Lokar shifter, with a gear indicator for the automatic transmission.
That 3-speed automatic transmission is bolted to a storied 400 cubic inch V8. Dressed with a chrome air cleaner and chrome valve covers, it's presented very nicely in a well detailed engine bay that you would love to show off. Thoughtful upgrades come from a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, Hooker headers, billet pulleys and brackets, and a Mallory ignition system with a Promaster coil. The undercarriage is just as clean as the rest of the car with glossy black floor pans contrasting an H-pipe dual exhaust system. Power steering and power front disc brakes aid in handling, with 225/60/15 front and 235/60/15 rear BF Goodrich Radial T/As taking care of transferring the 400's power to the ground.
With the complements this car has already gotten in our showroom, it may not last very long. You'll be hard pressed to find a nicer Firebird for the price we have this one listed. It stands out with a glossy finish and overall clean build. Call today!
