We sometimes make such a big deal out of matching-numbers and authenticity these days, that it kind of takes the fun out of having a cool old car. Take this 1969 Mustang for instance. It's got a high-revving 289 block under the hood, a great Boss 302 look, and a price tag that's a fraction of a number-matching Boss 302. That makes this Mustang a screaming bargain.

All 1969 Boss 302s were sportsroof cars, but when you have a clean 1969 coupe shell, why not get creative and build your vision into it? Dressed in Boss 302 regalia with a front spoiler, rear deck wing, and black 'hockey stick' stripes, this slick coupe definitely looks like it's ready for some high adrenaline action. The electric blue paint practically vibrates off the crisply rendered sheetmetal and looks fantastic from any angle with reflective metallic flakes. The clean, uncluttered look is augmented with a faux hood scoop and hood pins. Shiny chrome bumpers provide some welcome contrast, and there's no mistaking the three-element taillights out back. There's no doubt, sitting on chrome 17'' Boyd Coddington wheels, this one is 100% Mustang.

The Mustang really excelled with its interior, combining a racy feel with grand ... Please ask for the full description.

There's no doubt, sitting on chrome 17'' Boyd Coddington wheels, this one is 100% Mustang.

The Mustang really excelled with its interior, combining a racy feel with grand touring comfort in a way that has defied the decades. Handsome bucket seats are firm and supportive for long drives, and are covered in black vinyl with blue inserts. Matching door panels and rear bench offer a very finished look, and a convenient center console offers a place to store a couple of beverages, and other items in a large storage bin. The deeply set instruments are still in good condition with clear lenses, bright markings and three Sunpro gauges have been added to the center of the dash to keep an eye on oil pressure, water temps, and volts. It offers an AM/FM/CD player for entertainment and a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel allows the driver input and control.

Under the hood is a 302 block that has been dressed and updated with all of the right goodies. The Ford Blue V8 sits well back in the engine bay for improved weight distribution, and generates all the right eight cylinder sounds thanks to aftermarket headers and dual exhaust. A chrome air cleaner, and chrome 'Ford Racing' branded valve covers dress things up with a complementing polished export brace. Mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, this car will remain a blast to drive for years to come. Power steering supplements the drive, while 235/45/17 Yokohama tires fill all four wheel wells and look great on the vintage Pony.

This 1969 Mustang is an perfect way to enjoy classic good looks with muscular attitude. It's the reason this hobby is fun. You'll certainly be impressing onlookers at the cruise-in. Call today!
