383 V8, AUTO, NICE SOLID CAR, COMPLETE, RUNS WELL, PRICED TO GO!

Cars like this 1965 Plymouth Fury III were muscle cars before we knew to call them muscle cars. Pared-down mid-size hardtops stuffed with big block engines were a Mopar specialty, and this Fury doesn't disappoint. In fact, this might be one of the best deals we have in our showroom right now. If you are looking for a classic that packs big block power under the hood that you can unleash on the open streets without feeling guilty about it, then this is the classic for you.

Visually the body lines of the Fury are still as desirable today, as they were the day it rolled out of the factory. Still covered in a correct coat of Ice Blue, the cantilevered roof line was a Chrysler trademark throughout the '60s, and it works especially well here, imparting a sleek look to the otherwise conservative Fury. At the front, you'll find the unmistakable stacked headlights that flank the famous red, white and blue Plymouth emblem. The chrome and trim throughout the body is in really good shape, especially since it appears that much of it is straight from the factory. Although the paint has seen some wear over the years, this car appears to have a very solid foundation to work with.

The chrome and trim throughout the body is in really good shape, especially since it appears that much of it is straight from the factory. Although the paint has seen some wear over the years, this car appears to have a very solid foundation to work with.

Originally leaving the factory with a high grade trim vinyl interior, somewhere along its 49 year life, it was replaced with cloth. However, it looks right at home in the fury and provides a great place to log miles from. The dash and wheel do show a little wear, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a tried and true classic car of this age. With niceties like power steering, AM/FM radio and air conditioning, driving the Fury III is a great experience. And for road trips like the Hot Rod Power Tour, nothing beats a big car with a big engine and a big trunk. And this fury has all three...

As was the case with other great American muscle cars, big block power is there to carry this Fury in the form of a correct 383 cubic inch V8. Wearing the correct 2468130 casting code on the block, there's a good chance that it is in fact the original engine resting in the engine bay. Bolted to the block is an automatic transmission that shifts like it should. Spent gasses travel out the dual exhaust that is equipped with chrome tips, to make a great sound. 14" wheels carry the factory wheel covers and are wrapped in a recent set of 205/75R/14 whitewall rubber the offer a great look.

If you are in the market for a great classic that could draw a crowd wherever it goes, your search is over!
