1990 Chevrolet K3500

They call them Texas limousines, but you've never seen a crew cab pickup like this 1990 Chevrolet R/V 3500 Silverado. Built for show and beautifully finished, this giant pickup makes a bold entrance everywhere it goes and still manages to contend for trophies. In terms of bang for the buck, nothing can beat this!

The custom airbrushed graphics are only part of the story here, where you have the illusion of the black paint peeling away and showing the brilliant cranberry red underneath. We're not sure if either color was original to the truck, but we can say that every square inch of this pickup has been smoothed, buffed, and refinished to look exceptional and really grab peoples' attention. It looks giant, but it's a standard 3500 crew cab with a long bed, which is as big as they come, but the lifted suspension and custom fender flares make it look even bigger. The grille and front bumper were painted cranberry red to enhance the illusion, while an airbrushed mural on the tailgate shows off the artist's talent. Clear taillights, chrome steps (probably necessary on something this tall) and a color-matched truck cap all help give this a one-of-a-kind look that is striking but tasteful.

The burgundy cloth interior is nicely finished, too, with lots of real wood accents on the dash, steering wheel, and door panels. Given its use as a custom, it hasn't seen a lot of traffic inside so the upholstery remains in excellent condition. With the doors open, you'll note that the trick paint and graphics continue even into the door jambs, suggesting both a full disassembly and expert craftsmen at work. A wooden dash kid warms up the otherwise all-business interior and this 3500 is loaded with just about every factory option you can imagine: power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, cruise control, and factory A/C. A custom center console offers a pair of handy cup holders and there's an overhead console to match. Full-sized rear seats offer plenty of room for up to three passengers with another fold-down console for the rear seat folks and the carpets are protected by heavy-duty rubber mats. In back, you'll be impressed by not only the finish quality, but also a custom wooden cabinet with A/V equipment for tailgating in style, which is still pretty darned cool even if the equipment is a little dated.

There's a big 454 cubic inch V8 to move this rolling show with ease and it's been fully dressed and detailed as well. With aluminum valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, and lots of engine components painted to match, it looks as good under the hood as outside. You'll also note that the custom graphics continue on the under-hood surfaces and there's a big aluminum radiator up front to keep it cool. It doesn't go too far outside of factory specifications to maintain reliability, but things like the dual exhaust system help build horsepower. It'll still go just about anywhere, too, thanks to a very impressive chassis that includes a full lift kit with twin shocks at each corner, built axles, and a bunch of skid plates painted to match. You could spend a lot of time crawling around under this truck and not see all the details, and the work that went into it is absolutely mind-boggling. Giant aluminum wheels with 35x15.50-16.5 off-road radials fill the wheel arches even with the lift. Cool!

When it was built, this 3500 probably cost several orders of magnitude more than today's asking price, but it's no less striking today. If you like 'em big, they don't come much cooler than this. Call today (truck is not currently in our showroom due to its size, but can be brought in)!
