EXTREMELY NICE FINISH, 6 CYL, AUTO, RECENT BUILD, GREAT PAINT, NEW INTERIOR.

For someone who is looking for an affordable option for a classic muscle car, the Ford Mustang has always been a great choice. Today the first-gen Mustangs carry with it a proud legacy, and though we have seen the values start to rise over the past decade or two, the often forgot about six cylinder first-gen Mustang still stands today as one of the best bargains within the classic car industry. Take for example this very gorgeous white '66 Mustang.

Originally leaving the factory covered in Wimbledon White, today it sits in a brighter shade of white that could never have been achieved in '66. It looks great on the handsome bodywork, and this one steadily shows sharp and smooth reflections. If you've been searching for a Mustang to drive, it's got the right look and a no-worries attitude, and you could drive it anywhere. Above the rockers a simple, yet elegant red stripe provides the visual flare that will demand a second look from onlookers. The chrome and other bright pieces, like the sporty bullet mirrors, are in fantastic shape, and its quite clear that someone took their time to get all the small details right on this Stang's exterior.

When a body is painted white, the interior could just about be any color and it would still work, however there's just no beating a black vinyl interior. Pop open the doors, and you'll quickly see how the restored black vinyl interior creates a charming environment. The black vinyl shows little to no wear and the three-spoke Mustang branded steering wheel is a nice touch to the cabin. What appears to be original rubber Ford equipment floor mats have kept the black carpets in good shape. The dash has been completely restored and you'll find a vintage factory style AM/FM radio housed in the dash. Door panels, headliner, and dash pad are all in fine condition, it's an interior that has obviously been sorted and freshened fairly recently.

Originally this coupe came from the factory with a 200 cubic inch inline-six, which really was the heart of the Mustang lineup for the early years. We know the inline-six which sits in the engine bay today is not the original, but we have to admit it's nice to find one that hasn't been "upgraded" to a V8, although one could certainly do that if they wished. The ford blue paint is a pleasing touch to the little engine, and it still exhales into a single exhaust system with transverse muffler. The engine bay is nice and tidy and the 3-speed automatic that is bolted to the block ensures that you can simply cruise around town while the slick paint draws in jealous onlookers. At the corners you'll find 15-inch steel wheels with classic Mustang hubcaps wear recent Firestone whitewall radials.

While c-code and a-code Mustangs have seen their prices rise over the past couple of decades, these six-cylinder Mustangs still represent a lot of affordable fun. So if you're looking for an affordable yet popular way into the hobby, or just a great solid car, this handsome little coupe is an excellent choice. It's an honest six cylinder car that is, unfortunately, becoming harder and harder to find. Call today!
