Everyone knows that with a Jeep CJ7, you don't have to worry about playing too rough. There's no denying the fun and versatility that a Jeep offers. This '79 CJ7 was made to take you off the beaten path, and out to explore new areas. The fact that this Jeep is as clean as it is, and looks awesome while doing exactly what it was meant to do, is just an added bonus.
You recognize them from a quarter-mile away with their cheerful round headlights and 7-slot grille, a look so iconic that the latest Wranglers still play off the classic styling. This CJ wears an extremely fresh coat of bright white now, but it is ready for some mud to be slung. The basics are accomplished so well with this vehicle. A black bumper goes across the front under the classic Jeep grille that everyone knows so well with inset headlights. Contrasting blue “Renegade” decals lay smoothly on the hood and match the Jeep decals on the front fenders.
Contrasting blue "Renegade" decals lay smoothly on the hood and match the Jeep decals on the front fenders. The rear of the vehicle is very minimalist, with the Jeep logo on the tailgate and your basic taillights. The blue Best Top soft top matches the look and adds just the right contrast against the fantastic white. Top on or top off, this is one Jeep that is begging for some sun and fun. With the roll bars ready to go, this is one rugged Jeep that can get you just about anywhere you need to go, on the highway or off the road. As any of the Jeep owners will tell you, owning a CJ like this is a lifestyle, not mere transportation.
The interior is minimalist like the exterior; fairly basic, but covering all the necessities, and done wonderfully. It's very comfortable too, thanks to the supportive vinyl bucket seats that are covered in the same blue as the top and doors. If not needed, the back bench seat can be removed to create more storage area for hauling goods. The driver faces a three spoke steering wheel with the gauges offset to the middle of the dash, including the added Sunpro Oil gauge. In front of the passenger you'll find a locking compartment along with a grab bar. The Best Top soft top and doors can be worn in multiple ways. This Jeep comes with two sets of doors. If you want to get more light in, put on the the full clear vinyl doors, allowing sunlight to stream in the entire opening. Want a different look, and cover the lower portion of the doors, you can and use the solid lower door. Or, go without the doors, and enjoy a nice breeze through the cabin. Don't worry about getting mud or dirt in the interior; the floors can be easily sprayed and cleaned out. Simply put, this is one no fuss vehicle.
With a nice 304 cubic inches of engine under the hood, the lightweight CJ7 can move with ease, whether at a crawl in a low gear or zipping about on the highway into town. We know that this 304 V8 isn't the original that it left the factory with, but you would never know it thanks to a highly detailed engine bay. The potent V8 is equipped with a single two barrel carburetor, while spent gasses travel out the headers through the true dual exhaust. Bolted to the engine is a 3 speed manual transmission that could very well be the original. At the corners you will find 15" alloy rims that have been wrapped in Winner A/T Winston tires.
Tradition is alive and well for Jeep fans, and the CJ7 holds a very special place in the off-roading hall of fame. She is begging for a day out in the sun and mud. With the best fun-per-dollar ratio, this Jeep is one that will get you around and take you about anywhere you will want to go! Get off the beaten path and call today!
