A lot of classic car enthusiasts consider the interiors of today's vehicles nothing compared to the interiors of the early 70's. The door panels, dash, and steering wheel all offer the beautiful wood grain trim, while the lower door panels also had the plush carpeting making the interior feel a little more luxurious. The gauges resting in the dash appear to be original including the horizontal sweep speedometer. The front bench seat, besides being clean, does offer a center armrest for added comfort. Below the seats, the carpets appear clean and plush and appear in excellent condition. Leaving the factory as a highly optioned model, this sedan does come equipped with air conditioning, power steering, and an AM radio. In the back the trunk is large and ready to store your luggage for a weekend cruise in your new classic.
Under the long green hood you'll find what is believed to be the original 400ci V8. Covered in the correct Chevrolet orange, the engine is right at home in the flat black engine bay. Bolted to the V8 is a smooth-shifting automatic that is ready for highway cruising. Underneath the Caprice, stopping power is provided by the power disc brakes in the front and power drum brakes in the rear. In front of those brakes, finishing the look of the Caprice are 15" rims that have been wrapped in 215/75/R15 whitewall tires.
Expect to take a stroll down memory lane with the crowd that'll form when you show up at the next cruise night in this beauty. They don't build them like this anymore, so get a good one and start having fun. Call now!
